As stated we needed to recode the entire mod anyway so far better to recode it on a better engine, CnC3, than on a worse one that makes life more difficult in places, ZH. We may try and get a ZH version out at somepoint but the focus at the momment is on CnC3. I mean look at the difference in quality of the screenshots, the CnC3 ones look 100 times better than the ZH ones.

We will be using our own art assets for every unit, we are making a TS conversion so it wouldn't make sence to use the TW Juggernaught.

yup

Two days of blood, sweat and tears, combined with amazing talent allowed us to get the Titan ingame and walking in record time.

It's not brand new, the people making it are the same, the art assets are the same, the ideas are the same, the only difference is that with CnC3 we can have better graphics and more freedom. Considering that we were about to recode the entire mod, very little has been lost.

yes

very soon but assassin hasn't been too well so that's why the updates have been rather slow this week

Make no mistake we have access to a working conyard code and have done so for nearly 2 years, however TSR is more than a remake of tiberian sun, it is expanding on it. That is why there are certain features that will be present in the mod that weren't in the original. Another reason for leaving the conyard system behind is that it allows us to completely dissociate GDI and Nod both in art and functionality thus making for a more enjoyable experience.

Hope that clears things up

All I can say is soon, I've recently migrated to a new PC and have yet to install any mod tools so don't expect any pics from me soon, assassin should be posting a news update shortly that might show off some very cool stuff ;)

I have been doing to updates revently and moddb doens't like the images I try to update. I'll try again to post images again soon. We also have real life issues that have caused progress to slow down.

As much it will annoy people all I can say is what almost every other mod team will tell you, when it's ready.

well some of your points have already been answerd but

1. as afore mentioned it is being worked on
2. Should be able to do that
3. I may do that but it's not somthing i'm particularly worried about
4. It's done, though proving tempramental
5. Again may be done at some point
6. Should be possible
7. Why,
8. Is proving difficult to fix unless you own a high spec PC, at the momment the best we've got is 1 hour on a high end system, though we think we may have cracked it
9. Can't unless we can get the AI to accept it
10. You got an AI now you want a better one, some people are never happy :P
11. not sure what you mean, i assume your talking about the slightly jump animation which has already been fixed.

The mod is not dead and while I may no longer be leading the mod I am aware that there will be a signifigant patch/rerelease coming out soon.

War addict, the head coder is now in charge of the project and has managed to fix most of the issues with the first release such as lag and other bugs. the next version will not include many grpahical changes as I am currently helping another mod however I wuld expect to see some more updates soon.

We are aware of the issue with the site and it is out of our control to fix it as it is a server issue.

The forums are located at cnc-source www.cnc-source.com/forums,, the webpage far from being fixed has appeard to have gone completely offline this is completely out of our control and there isn't much we can do about it.

Updates are few and far between at the momment as all the activity is code related though I may try and get some more screen shots released soon.

I would warn however that anyone downloading the current version of the mod should be aware that there are performance issues especially with minimum spec machines (all that pretty tiberium eats memmory). However I believe that these are being fixed at the momment.

Finally I thank you for the support.

I may eventually redo the art work for TFTW however I am currently involved in TSR added to that a distinct lack of free time means it will probably be awhile before I manage to get anything done for TFTW.

RA3 ALS was not very good, the models where awful the skins where worse and the concept was not all that great either. TFTW is vastly superior in all ways. RA3 ALS will not be making a reappearence atleast with my involvment as I have bigger and better things to do with my time now.

well around about early december we will be recruiting more beta testers, when we do that it will be a good indication that we have actually finished, that next lot of beta testers will be ued to make sure 99% of bugs are out so around about the 20th of december which is our sceduld release date the mod is the best it can be.

And to note do not ask to test as you will be ruled out as a tester post usful information on the forums and you will greatly increase your chance of becoming a tester

Yes the mod is for most intesnive purposes complete, we could release today but we arn't going to as it would make us look bad as there are alot of reskins that need done.

we have decieded due to popular opinion to delay the release of the mod untill about christmas. But we will be opening more beta slots neaer to time so more people have a chance of playing the mod, as with most mods ask and you will not recieve.

Could you please go into more detail as in whats wrong, on avarage it takes us 10 hours to complete a model with skin, the mammoth for example took 4 hours to models and has taken 8+ hours to skin, so i hardly see that ammount of work put into each model can be an issue. Remeber this is generals we are talking about, the poly limit is about 600 and the textures can't exceed 512x512.

we have some rough release dates but nothing set in stone other than it'll be this side of christmas. Our main problem is that our 2 modlers are being bogged down with school work and there simply arn't enough hours in the day to do all what we want to do.
