1) find the location where you have installed rome total war
2) right click the shortcut
3) go to propertys
4) go to target
5) change the location of the shortcut to your rome total war instaltion directory's executeable e.g. C:\programfiles\rometotalwar\rometw.exe

mabey he's stuck with an AGP slot or something, although there are some nice Dx9 agp cards out there, they are just rare.

This I think is true, the system looks well designed, reasonable background story and I especially like the idea of capture the ghost's gameplay with finding enemy loations with it.

most people who have 4GB of ram have 32bit OSs, not 64bit OSs. this is funny as the OEMs go hey this is 4GB ram and then you can only use 3GB on it. this is capitalism, there is two thing that slow game when encodeing video nither are ram they are:
Slow Hard drive
overloaded processor

it is the latter if it's a laptop can be solved by encodeing to a different physical drive but not a seperate partition on the same physical drive

it is the former mostly with desktops, you can solve this by upgradeing/overclocking processor or by lowering load of processor. you can lower processor load by not running superfluois software, disableing unused devices in a 'gameing' hardware profile (like floppy disc or a PCTV card) and finally changeing encodeing codec to be less processor intensive with encodeing (more advanced tweaking set available with divx)

the problem with remodleing things is that it requires modlers lol, who we dont have - but essentially what you want in a mod is gameplay witch this mod has in oodles. although one thing I would like in a start wars RTS is to be able to fight in the battles or lead a charge when things get dicey or you cant command your forces to do more than they are and to lead a charge. for that sort of thing it would be nessesary to port the mod to the source engine witch I have been tempted to do for a while.

yup it's alive and sometime in the next 2-3 weeks if things continue on schedule there will be a new release however I wont say anything offcial until I am sure about it. but in the next release there will be three new factions however I am somewhat thin on the ground for ideas for their units.

you go to the modding section on this site and find a good mod then in the black bar of the page on a mod there should be for most of the mods an option to download then on that page you can find the download link. remeber to check the installion instructions they provide though.

That would be illegal as medeval 2 is copyrighted material and the game files for it cannot be illegally distributed like that however there is a mod that turns rome total war into medeval 1 called chivilary total war I belive. if you want to play medeval II though you have to buy the game and I think that some rome total war mods can work on medeval II. I remeber that medevel 2 also has elephants too.

I've resolved the issuse by makeing the file a self extracting file now you dont need 7zip to extract the mod.

no progress with guns, without a modeler or a source for crossbowmen models I cant get guns in the mod.

basically use missles their alternative munitions, it's the only way to have more than one ranged weapon.

Rome total war is great for modding, The engine is very flexible relatively and it's got some good mods for it. Although I am concerned that modding groups do a lot of similar eras for modding rome total war.

It's doing alright, you dont need to call me a sir. also v0.05b is on schedule and doing very well, I wont put dates on it as I want to make sure it's stable and fits the star wars look before it's released.

it's an issue with the video background with the menu. you need to delete rome.lnt from the SWTW/data/menu folder but only in the mod folder deleteing it in the main game directory will cuase problems.

Yeah but each release will bring a whole load more into it, I have been thinking about v0.15b somewhat and I have considered factions like coperate sector, yuuthar vong and madolorians. coperate sector would play like a sythesis of the hutts and the empire, yuuthar vong as part melee part fear and madolorians with their units are equal in power to the yuuthar vong but very different.

The factions will have a slight overall weighting in terms of power to suit their style. v0.05b is really takeing shape at the moment due to a few of the main rebel units haveing been completed.

the guns already have blaster sounds, the flamethrowers make flamethrower sounds and when trandosians are made their guns will make their apropriate sound. star wars music will not be added as I am trying to advoid copywright issues as much as posible but other sci fi music is being considered.

no the rome total war engine makes it unfortunately imposible to make space battles only the land battles. Although it is posible to make flying units in land battles but that can only be done when we have the models to do so. also we will not have vehicals for a while either, we need models to make them too lol.

I intend to fix the gun issue in the next release. Also try checking the screenshots part to check for new units, when they are completed I post them on there with screenshot. though to see what the flamethrowers look like your going to have to wait for the next video. and that video wont come until the team has completed enough of the core units for it to be considered good enough teaser for the next release. the next release is a fully battle orientated release for full on star wars battles.

there will be some units that will be available in historical battles that aren't available in custom battles like the 501st.
