I recently found my own copy of nexus, and would love to play this mod, but was wondering if you guys played online? If you do how do you do it, do you use hamachi or something?!?

Thats good, just watching the video the missiles just seem to swirl around all over the place, like watching loads of eels swim around lol, maybe tone that down, is there any point defense systems in the game? That shoot missiles?

And one more comment on gameplay, everything seems to be very very fast, although you may be aiming for fast gameplay if you want true halo style then yes battles should be over quickly but make these battles count, fast battles in sins usually just means ships can be rebuilt just as fast and if you can rebuild a whole fleet in minutes then there isn't much gained from each fleet engagement, so i would enjoy a game where ships were more expensive took longer to build. This would make the battles much more important.
And a final thing for balance, although its hard to see im thinking you have balanced covenant and unsc ships fairly well, i have one problem with this the covenant should be over powered well over powered!!! Try to make covie ships expensive and longer to build so they are less numerous, im thinking a 3:1 ratio, e.g 3 times more expensive, 3 times longer to build but 3 times more powerful, i think in the books it mentioned it took 3 unsc ships for every covie ship killed. That would be nice.

Overall very good work, i am a massive halo fan and id love to play this game and thats only advice on my idea of a halo game, your making it so you dont have to follow... keep up the good work.

I would like to say, very nice work on the ships on models but there are a few problems i see with gameplay which look like they may need changing, please dont take offense im trying to give constructive criticism. I have had to seperate this into two posts so its a lot to read, sorry :)

First of all your missiles seem to fire extremely often and there seem to be too many missiles coming from each ship, they are also very large and obtrusive, try reducing their trails and size and make them fire less frequently, i believe in the books i remember reading that a ship fire A through to F missile launchers thats only 6 and that sound a better number.
Also the macs seem to fire very often a bit too fast aswell, but maybe make their rounds more noticable larger and brighter flashes, they are the most notorious unsc ship weapon anyway aren't they make those bigger but slower.

Can we have some more information about details about ships and gameplay please, for example what will the role fighters play? Will they actually be able to do do large amount of damage, will fighter supermacy be important or is this just all about the big ships? Also what kinds of defences will we see AND what variety of ships will we see, all the ships look similar but i notice some different shapes in there, how many different ship types???

See what you mean there, but the odd big battle would be nice, maybe you could design ships that are very effective against capitals but balance it by making it vulnerable to fighters this could even things up, and yes of course if there is an engine limit no need to exceed it.

This looks awesome but what sort of scale can you get out of your engine will we just be seeing 1v1 capital ship engagements with a few fighters about or do you have large scale battles with several capitals and dozens of fighters?

This looks very good, im liking the epic space battles, some space games battles just seem too small but i see theres some battles with quite a few very nice looking capital ships. What sort of scale can you manage on the feespace engine, because in other mods iv only ever seen 4 capital ships at any one time and probably about 20 fighters.. are these game engine limits or can you have larger scale fights and more importantly have you got some large scale battles in your mod?

i played again and put in 9 AI on my team so i could see what they did, again they built their base then did nothing... now i wonder weather this is because the first ship it wants to build is a capital ship so the AI waits until it does the research and can build a capital ship??? Or is it because i use unfair and hard AI,, maybe your using normal AI and thats the one which works?!?! Any suggestions or explanations??

Love the mod.. iv been following it for years now bt this is my first post.. im a massive halo fan and a big fan of space games so this is heaven to me... just cant wait for a playable version!!
Few quesions, whats going to be happening about orbital mac guns anything planned or just sticking to ships... which is fine by me. Also love the screenshots of battles,,, love to see a trailer if possible.

Also will ships be able to collide with each other?? in the books ramming ships was mentioned and i think keyes did it.. also iv seen in other halo mods it is possible to do this maybe its a bit too much to ask for but maybe in the finished version??
Would love to ram hundreds of frigate into one big covie carrier.

Oooooo it requires entrenchment... daym,,, but if you release a mod i will actually buy entrenchment to play this... im a big halo fan lol,, and i love the look of this mod which i have been watching for a very very long time but this is my first post...

Few questions, how are mac guns going to work as in the orbital defence platforms will they be able to turn and face the enemy ships when they fire... in screenshots they jst appear to be pointing upwards...

Hey, iv been watching mods on moddb for about 2 years and have never registered an account or posted anything,,, finally i needed to say something so i took the effort to make an account... This is an awesome mod,,, iv watched mods like i said for a long time and have hardly seen anything completed and this mod is looking great, im english but i do understand most german so i can play the game now in alpha stages and i love your ships and everything... everything looks authentic like your in the star trek universe well done.

However i do have a very big problem XD
I dont think the AI works??!?! When i played my first game for about 30mins my ally did nothing and i scouted enemies and found they do nothing aswell... all they did was at start build research buildings resource buildings and factories... but then they didnt expand or build ships. Is this due to the fact i put AI on hard and fortify mode??? Will the AI only work on some other modes???

I really hope the AI is functional in some way or another because i would love to actually play this game properly.
