Star Wars fan, creating detailed equirectangular planet textures for planetariums and various mod efforts. Special thanks to the Yuuzhan Vong at War team, Burntstrobe and Doci.sbar in particular, for their help in getting my process started. Creator of the Planets of Star Wars: the unofficial Star Wars expansion for the Digistar planetarium platform. My planets are completely free to use for anyone, and I encourage their distribution. My goal is to create a one-stop-shop for planets. My only stipulation: ** These planets are to be used for strictly NON-PROFIT projects. ** Don't take credit (and money) when you don't deserve it. Feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns. I've largely stopped posted on ModDb and migrated my library to CGTrader to accommodate more users. Although I started working on my first set of volcanic planets, I thought that with the success of my oceanic worlds it was time to revisit terrestrial ones as my current pack never truly satisfied me. Yet again made adjustments to the workflow, especially with city lights and poles.
8000x4000 seamless, equirectangular planet texture of a generic terran-like planet.
Includes dedicated diffuse, bump, specular, cloud, and light maps all generated using Blender. Three different light maps were created to resemble different kinds of planet population: urban, rural, and metropolis. These can be used individually or combined for varied lighting effects.
