I've been working on games, small and respectably large, since 2005 or so. I look to continue on that route till I can be working professionally in this field.

Interesting glitch with the OICW, and nice looking re-texture of it as well! I think I've seen the error you're talking about before, and I'm not sure it was actually cause by the Iron Sights mod. Frankly it's been too long for me to remember. Unluckily I've poured myself into other things, so I would rather not come back and re-invest in a smaller glitch. This is not to lessen the catch though; thank you very much for reporting it!

As for the P90 scope, my original intent with the modification was to be as un-intrusive as possible. I think that's a very good scope texture, but it also draws more attention to itself, which isn't what I was aiming for. However, I would be willing to maybe make it an optional addition if you would like to get more involved (and are still interested in the project).

P.S. I'm glad you like the Mod!

Yeah, I can understand the frustration with this one. It was simply because I had no better option short of remaking the P90 model. To do it properly, the model would be remade with a functional reflex sight built into it, I just didn't have the equipment or talent to do that.

I agree, a really excellent idea! Reminds me a bit of a really old but fantastic game called outcast. It didn't have exactly the same system, but similar mechanics in place.

That's some pretty awesome looking map making and game mechanics! I thought most of your thoughts about what still needs to be fixed or tweaked were very astute, but I did notice a couple of other things I thought I'd mention. One was that parts of the caves, especially the first one, could use more... well cover for lack of a better term. It could be used for cover or concealment for players or items. Maybe some rubble or stalagmites. The other main thing I noticed was the engine noise for the buggy. I don't know if those were custom for the buggy or just taken as a placeholder, but they made the engine sound like it was a well muffled V8 that you'd find in a mid-full size SUV. Of course, work in progress, but I thought I'd mention them. Very nice progress on the whole!

I think it's more the state it was left in. It looks like a convoy in motion, not a parked one. Ok, so maybe the drivers and such were killed by a blowout while on the move, but then the vehicles would have been moving and they wouldn't have stopped in formation without drivers. I dunno if that makes sense, it just looks weird for them to be left in a position such that it looks like they would have to be moving. I think it's ok, just a little weird.

I'm pretty sure you don't need the disk as long as patch v1.4 works with it there shouldn't be any problems.

That all sounds pretty cool! How many missions will there be in the final release, or is it too early to say? And will it be set missions with a set story or more randomized? I mean as far as main objectives go, not mini-missions such as finding explosives or getting a disguise.

I think it's good, an probably the only way to know if it would make the game to easy is if you test it enough. I think it's good to give tools to the player such as this because it doesn't mean he doesn't have to think about where they could be anymore, but it does mean he can sometimes predict it and plan around that. It's better than having binoculars which once marked, permanently update the position of enemies. Just my opinion.

Unluckily the developers never released a 64 bit version of the sdk, so I cannot make a 64bit version. Currently the mod auto deactivates iron sights if you load it in the 64bit version of the game as they will not work. As for FCAM, Garcy will be releasing a version with iron sights included soon. You could maybe mesh them with FCAM now, but if you want to play multiplayer with it, you will have to wait for Garcy to finish implementing it.

Yeah ok thanks for pointing it out. I already did a lot, so it seemed pretty good to me, but maybe that's just because I was used to it being quite deplorable. I'll let you know if I can update the download.
