I finished part 1 (stargazing), but then the game just returned to the main menu and I couldn't start a new game on issue 2 (still greyed out). Am I missing something, or is the mod broken in some way?
It's a server update that fixes an issue that was caused by the 1.5 patch of Bf2.
Don't see any mention of need the 1.0 version in either this news post or on the download page here on moddb.com ...
Never played this mod before, so decided to give it a go. Downloaded the installer, and then ran it only to not find any servers. Turned out that this was just a patch to the full 1.0 version which I had to download and install first, but I didn't notice it when downloading, and the mod ran just fine even if 1.0 hadn't been installed from before.
Just a heads up as there might be others that'll download this version, find no servers and then just think the mod is dead and move on...
Looks great, but the 'HD Source' you linked is the exact same thing shown here - 4:3 and _not_ HD.
Sorry, been working on PoE1 lately. We did have the T84 in PoE2, not T90. that was PoE1.
Thanks for you well wishes :)
In regards to the T64 instead of T55 I believe that was because we wanted a more different tank than the T90 (not T84).
Finding data is one thing, creating models, textures and then importing and coding that is a whole different thing.
We're currently working on a final version of this mod which will include COOP support in almost all our maps! :)
Thanks for your comments. Some of what you mentioned is by design, and some is simply due to lack of resources (people to do it).
If you read our latest news update then you'd see that we are however done developing this mod, so I'm afraid it will stay as it is.
Stay tuned for our future project :)
We've developed it for the latest (1.41) version of Bf2.
Grab your BfV disks - we're going back to Africa! :)
What sounds awesome? Don't see any information or anything here, except for the small note about all the different platforms it's supposed to be for...
You have the 1.1.5 version of PoE2 aswell? The singleplayer mod is a minimod that uses the PoE2 mod (lot's of mod in that sentence :p).
Do you have the latest version of PoE:2, CIDIC? That was an issue with our first release (1.0), but was sorted in the 1.1.5 version.
Go into your \Battlefield 2\mods\poe2\ folder and delete or rename the folder called "Movies" there. Now have some fun :)
ps. We're releasing another version next friday (20th of july) :)
Thanks to everyone who voted for us! :)
Woot, let's get this party started!
But giving one gaming rig to an entire mod team? I smell some nasty fighting among the winning teams :P
Amazing modification, but unfortunately it seem to be having an awful netlag problem... :/
He's got his hands folded, hoping not to crash ;)
Nope, didn't forget to post the news here. Just took a while before the update was approved for front page for some reason...
All I can say right now is that there will be more than three maps in our first release :)
Sounds like someone has given you a link directly to vote for the mod, which is not possible and therefor you get that message. You need to go into our profile like you are now, manually. Then vote on the top of the site. Thanks for your support :)
There never was a bf1942 one. You're probably thinking of the BfV version. That engine wasn't the best for what we tried to use it for, but the Bf:2 engine is alot better on this, so there should be no need for worrying about lag (unless you're already having is when playing Bf2).
As the mod hasn't been released yet, you can count on it working on the latest BF2 version once it's out.
