Either you don't have the latest version of direct x, or something got corrupt. To check which version of DirectX is on your computer. Open DirectX Diagnostic Tool by clicking the Start button , typing dxdiag in the search box, and then pressing Enter. Click the System tab, and then, under System Information, check the DirectX version number.
If it is higher than 8.1, you can try reinstalling direct x to see if that fixes the issue.
I'd say at this point, we're done. We started work on this mod in 2004, time to move on ;)
The Hydra 2.0 release and after. The F-14s are on the Bombardment gameplay maps that have the USS Enterprise aircraft carrier on the map. The F-14s are on the carrier and can only be used if you if you're the USA faction and have control of the carrier.
Pegasus 1.1 was the USA faction only. The Hydra release includes the NVA faction as well as some balancing to the USA side. We also adjusted the AI to make it a bit easier play.
But yes, the overall gameplay remains basically the same.
There are a few possibilities, first of all, make sure you have no other Mods installed, make sure you've installed the mod to the correct directory, make sure you have the latest ZH patch installed (1.04), make sure you have the latest version of Microsofts .NET.
If your still missing the file, it's possible it's been corrupted or deleted, just reinstall ZH and then install the VGO mod.
Once you've checked all that and you're still having problems, go through our list of common issues on our forums and see if any of that helps you out.

Yeah, we're calling it done. Unfortunately, the mod wasn't popular enough to warrant work on the sub factions we had planned. At least after 8 years of work we were able to release a total conversion with 2 full factions, most mods can't say that ;)
You need to download the latest version of .NET framework from microsoft. You can do that here Microsoft.com
It will probably happen when life isn't so busy for us. In the mean time, the auto updater will patch the mod to the latest version.

Yes, longer range weapons take a bit longer to deploy and set up since they deal heavy damage. Be sure to guard them once they're in place!

It sounds like the mod launcher didn't close correctly before you tried to uninstall it. All VGO files are stored in the Generals directory called "VGO". Try deleting this folder to remove the mod.

This issue appears to be a result of running the game via the mod launcher on certain setups - the exact cause is unknown, but it appears to be an anti-piracy measure for running from a proxy.
A solution is to run the mod launcher, but do not hit 'Play' - instead, run generals.exe while the mod launcher is open. Opening the mod launcher ensures all the VGO mod files are moved to their appropriate locations, and then running generals.exe directly prevents the anti-piracy fail from kicking in.

All our stuff is original, this way we avoid any copywrite issues or having to pay for a song license with money we don't have. You could, however, mute the music in game and make your own play list to play on a music player in the background.

Be sure you are playing on maps meant for VGO, playing on regular ZH maps will cause the AI to just sit there and do nothing. If this is happening on VGO maps as well, is it just one map that has this issue or all maps the AI doesn't work?
It could also be due to corrupt ZH files, which tends to happen a lot more often than you think. A clean install of ZH, 1.04 patch and VGO usually fixes any corrupt files.
It sounds like the mod launcher is having trouble moving files around, be sure UAC is definitely turned off. Also be sure you have no other mod installed that don't use launchers.
The base blowing up is almost always a bad MultiplayerScripts.scb - we recommend downloading a replacement from Cnclabs.com

If you are experiencing mismatches, it is probably because you don't have the same version of the mod. The other issue could be one of you has The First Decade version of ZH and the other has the original release of ZH. Unfortunately, the only way to resolve that issue is to make sure you both have the same release of the game.
