Gaming, Modding and Computing Stuff.
Well, I finally got to try Windows 7 at my workplace. However the installation of Windows 7 was classic example of Microsoft's infinite ability to turn some small problem into a huge one. I eventually fixed it, but the solution was so stupid.
So, I was installing Windows 7 and about 80% of the way through, the computer inexplicably restarts and crashes, my reaction was "What the hell?! This didn't happen on the beta.". So I tried again, same thing, crash, then I go and run the handy Memtest86: nothing, check the BIOS: nothing, test the PSU: nothing and about another hour of nothing. So I Googled my problem and found a solution: "Plug your monitor into the VGA port, it won't work on DVI.", I thought "Yeah, right. That will work.". But I tried it anyway and what do you know, it worked! I was both pleased that the problem had been fixed and horrified that such a simple thing can cause a computer to restart, weird.
On the gaming and modding front: not much. However, the holidays start in 3 weeks...but it seems so far away.
General Stuff.
Exams are looming. This week is revision week, which typically means busy. By the way, I think I stuffed up my last programming assignment, oh well, too late now. Anyway, that's in the past, must push on! Must work harder! Charge!!! LOL. Wait, that wasn't funny...
In other news: 395 cases of swine flu in my state doesn't sound good. The reality is that most of the cases are mild and only 3 cases have required hospitalisation. Crowded public transport is not going to help...just staying cautious.
Tired, yet busy. I should really try to get more sleep.
