So.. someone labors to give you something for free..

Say they prepare and cook a three course meal.
Their effort, for you, for nothing. It is a gift. A gift of labor.

You say "But I prefer my meat cooked only this particular way!" and throw it back in their face and tell everyone that they are terrible.

What does that make you? Ungrateful certainly and perhaps even arrogant.

So.. where is your meal? Where is what you have labored on and risked?
Where is your work and effort?

POP was not designed nor intended to be perfectly realistic. Close, but not quite. It has, as intended, to have elements that break conventions of "normal" as limited by the combat system from the base game.

It is also not a racing game. It is not a platformer. It is not a farm simulator. So why not rate the game on those metrics? Because that is not what it is. Rate the game on what it is.

Further -
The simulator in the base Warband engine itself, is flawed as it fails to take into account different forms of armor and how they protect against different forms and types of damage. If you want realistic then you must start with what we, as modders, have to work with.

Evaluate something based upon the intent and execution. Not something that you feel entitled to or think should be there. Now I can understand if you were somehow duped.. you paid for this work then you could be critical and say "Well this weapon is unrealistic or that armor weights too much"

But as a gift...

Mods are interesting.
A group of folks give you a gift.
No charge. Their labor, and skill applied to make a game better or different.
Sometimes thousands of hours of their time.
You accept that gift.. then crap on it.

What does that make you?

Did you even play the mod or just look at it? There are dozens of features not seen in native here and collectively over 5000 hours of community work to bring this effort to life.

So.. where is YOUR mod? Put it out here and match the effort that others, for free, have worked on.

To rate ANY work like this as a "1" is an insult to the craft.

From the Founding of Pendor - the year is 354
A King has not ruled the shattered land of Pendor for many generations. What was once a proud accomplishment of man now is steeped in the myths of folklore and told as children’s bedtime stories. Yet, the legends live on of a prophesy of hope. A tale of a champion who comes from a distant shore and unites the lords of Pendor under a single Ruler and brings peace and prosperity once again to this ravaged war-torn land.

All is not as it seems as there are many powers who have their own ends in mind and an epic struggle is about to unfold.

Strap on your sword, and buckle your imagination. Prepare to enter the world of Pendor and accept the challenge of the Prophesy - if you dare.
