Atmospherically, this is probably the greatest Half-Life 2 mod I've ever played. Really draws upon the Orwellian feel that the Half-Life 2 Beta had. The looming citadel really looks ominous and creepy, unlike the retail citadel that just looks (fittingly but uninterestingly) bland. The new voice acting is excellent for the most part. It's obvious that there was a lot of effort put into these chapters. I was amazed at how the manhack arcade was designed, I could barely tell it was on the Source Engine!
I thought the level design wasn't too bad and allowed for exploration in some parts, but it wasn't always clear where I was supposed to go. I've definitely seen worse though. The vortigaunt's voice actor is good, but I can tell that he was using a different, lower quality mic, so hopefully, that's something that can be addressed. The "get one weapon then get rid of it) mechanic kind of got repetitive after the third or fourth time. The teleporter sequence at the end of the mod felt very underwhelming compared to the one in retail Half-Life 2. Overall, I think the mod was just a wee bit short to be released at this time, but it was still worth playing! I am very excited to see where this project gets taken.
Fun little mini campaign with a great sense of humor, plus adds a whole new layer to the campaign. Well done!
This is the most well-made Half Life mods I've played in a very long time. This mod has some unbelievably good atmosphere that rivals even most of the stuff on the Source engine. The story is also among the best I've seen in any mod, ever. Unfortunately, the heavy use of dark environments really makes my eyes hurt after a while, especially with the wimpy flashlight that's provided. Also, I feel like many of the games enemies are poorly placed, (especially the headcrabs), and as a result, combat is often not fun. But these flaws don't do too much to hamper the overall experience, surprisingly. This mod is the breath of fresh air that this modding community has needed for years.

This baby has been in development for eight years, and it shows. The only change I would make to this mod is make it less difficult, I died countless times. I can't wait for the Xen levels!
