Seems better then the yellow Imperial fists dreadnought.

I think it's the legs that are letting it down... And the solid colour texture, meh.

the text that appears when u hover over the image says Carnifex. The Tyranid Carnifex being bigger than a tank... It must be a warrior.
Bloomin' big scything talons for a warrior.

Ahhhh I loved the old Renegade, and my bro did too; we lost so many hours (and sleep) over Renegade, even though not much commanding went on; just conquering.
taking advantage of the UT3 engine as well... Extreme! :)

well the SURFACE of the sun is about 6000K that's along the lines of 5727 Celsius, but the core is comething about 5 million kelvin which i ran through a converter and assuming i got the number of digits right for the million, the sun's core is 15099727 degrees celsius...

Scrin and FPS, sounds like a Vicious task, but it will be a nice addition, the Scrin can be playable in multi-player right?

Hey, the concept of seeing City 17 through the eyes of a CP officer reminds me of Half-Life Blue Shift.
This mod would round the entire Half-life experience really well, die and i will have to shoot someone...

Generals and ZH were highly critizised because they were "un-command & Conquer like" since the mainstay of C&C was GDI Vs NOD but when you try and combine the two, it's crazy, plus as TMSARENGIFO said, Mobius and his team died in an ion storm

still, give it a try though, i guess

With a nice pretty C&C 3 engine, you can't help but like the graphics

urr, phlipiman, the original C&C 3 AI is already clever; depending on how you want it to behave:
on easy the AI is simple
on medium it puts up a decent fight
at hard it gets hard to win
and brutal... Don't expect the shadow of a ghost of winning unless you have set their handi-cap high
and you have the AI personalities too

Any harder and it become terrifying, even with the many tweaks to prevent things similar to the all-annoying mammoth tank spam

I definately agree about tweaking it to prevent rushing, it's my only weakness online and there is an eternal supply of players eager to rush you with 9 scorpion tanks 5 mins into the game

Or are you talking about that TV series that was on a couple years ago?

I like the Red terror but the name Trygon gives a good excuse to slip another 1 into a TT army battle!

Let loose this big boy in a restraunt you don't like and he will sort out everyone... hehehe

now that we are all done saying sorry; the dedicated team of Hive fleet workers can continue feeding the Norn queen out of hope that she will disgorge a complete Tyranid mod.
@seth
a barbed strangler can have metal armour easy and tanks if it has the time it needs but i have been called off anyway so, the very least we can all do is... Well wait really, be aware if you continue to be an annoyance we will feed you to the rippers! (I do not have a vendetta against you but, you know it's one of those things)

i had another idea:
the necrons on DA use power only right?
Tyranids could have 1 resource: bio-matter. Branching off my idea earlier about tyranids earning meager amounts of additional resource for kills or that thing about rippers gaining resources from attacking buildings, plus this would encourage players to take rippers more seriously, as you know they are extremely useful on TT so it would make sense if they were useful in assaults.
although if that were the case some unit costs would need revising...

I don't have much time so i will have to say the important stuff here:

I have noticed that all new units that require deep striking/summoning crash the game with a Fatal scar error- paused execution thing, i'm not sure why it is this way but it just is. First i tried Chaos Horned ones but my attention was elsewhere waiting for a nice shiny warhound to appear... Then the game crashed... i thought nothing more of it so i started anew, next was Khorne Terminators, i was waiting for them but i also JUST got the notice saying that renforcements were on the way (Titan)... Crashed again, thought it was the titan; started again, (just to check to see if it was the titan), this time i didn't go for the titan, and trained some chaos terminators... Crash, started again and didn't build anything that needed deep strike, got the warhound and no crashes.

The Imperial guards vanquisher tank also crashes the game for some unknown reason. playing oasis of Sharr

the space marine bolter turrets dropped from orbit is a deep strike unit so that crashes on me too

However you will be a happy chap to know that i have encountered no problems with the titan.

The ranges and damage factors could do with turning down a great deal; the Eldar scorpion super-heavy tank in particular is pretty over-powered, no wonder it's anti- titan!

The space marines have an advanced buildings palette which contains an advanced machine cult which looks and costs the same amount as a normal machine cult but has most of the cool new space marine vehicles and to the left of this advanced machine cult is an invisible icon which costs: nothing and it appears to be a thunderhawk, this is genuinely confusing since the only thing it is useful for is making the base look fuller.

The radio thing on the space marine bikers is an interesting move though once it starts it will not stop even if you switch it off until the battle ends but that's ok because it dosen't really bother me

other wise this mod is tastefully done with lots of add-ons designed to enhance the overall experience (i recall there being a mod devoted to titans for each of the sides of DAW but it was discontinued due to the nightmare of coding all of them and giving some transport space and others were nightmares when it came to weapons and movement etc so the titan is good work and bigga vareity in units and vehicles is handy i hate the imperial guard (primarily because during 1 session of TT i had my necrons and a monolith, 3 las cannons and a demolisher cannon did nothing against it until a Baneblade turned 1 of it's las cannons on it, blew it up, and the scalding thing is i spent most of my points to get the flipping thing into battle and it dosen't fire 1 shot!!) but i really like the hydra flak tank

Whoops! gotta run, thanks for hearing me out!

i'm not clear on Chaos but i understand this much: Khorne Berzerkers need to be fast and NOT weighed down by bulky terminator armor
On the other hand: Great idea, the closer to the codex the better i say
although i have advanced to DA this mod and the Tyranid mod are good reason as any to go back and revisit those good times spent ordering troops around like some sort of dictator

I should of said this before but...
and i emphasize the word be compatible with DA
The version that we all have (or should do 0.3) isn't going to magically update itself on your computer without the need for download overnight so there is actually nothing to be confused about, but fear not! patience is a virtue
and good things come to those who wait...
though dare i say it's not easy!!

on page 5 of the comments section it was revealed that the tyranid mod will be DA compatable

P.S Tyranids and Necrons have always been my favourites; i've always wanted to see how the Tyranids symbiote weaponry such as the devourer or deathspitter would work against the Necrons Super tough metal bodies.
And more importantly: Will the Tyranids overwhelming numbers of weak units be a match for a phalanx of seemingly ultimately good warriors?

ages ago (in coment page terms because comments really fly here, i posted just under 2 weeks ago and now my latest post is now page 5) we were talking about resource issues for the 'nids and while revisiting WA with the Tyranid mod, i thought struck me:
Remember that Tyranids eat anything right? what if the Tyranids can earn additional resources by killing enemies depending on size. For example, standard space marines or Eldar guardian squads etc give only modest sums while a vehcile like a dreadnought coughes up twice as much.
And rippers can recycle dead tyranids for something measily like 5+ power and requisition per 5 bodies they recycle; clean-up on isle 132

not so much that, rather the fact that billions of drones and spore mines in addition to all the other races that may be fighting on-screen is going to take up some... meaty, processing power ?

If you would like to know more about the warhammer universe the no.1 place for information is none other than the Games Workshop site www.gamesworkshop.com some people may find site navigation difficult depending on the nationality that you choose, especially the English branch.

@ Tyranik
well real life artillery are vehmently slow and remember! a tank moving at it's full speed which can be from 30 to 55 mph can hardly retaliate even moving at something like 15 mph which can make a tank a sitting duck and in combat a sitting duck is a dead duck
Ah you forget that more does not always = Better! shockwave is big but certaintly not friendly
i haven't heard of a destruction forces mod

i would imagine so, although DC is a stand alone it walks hand in hand with the expansion pack class so i'm fairly sure that mods for WA or the original DAW would be backwards compatable with Dark Crusade... right?

ahhhh there was a time when the Tyranid mod's rating was only 6.2
but now it's a beautiful 8.8!
who's laughing now? muwahahaha! everybody laugh with me lest you want to make me look like an apple pie splatter

ahhhhh nevermind but still: a question that has been exercised alot: will the mod be Dark crusade compatible?

(i think that the Tyranids will be added next official release since there was a large clamour about there being no 'Nids in DC and the ominous explosions on the planets as the camera 'pulls' away from a planet (pobably Kronus) and the big 2007 numbers suggests that Relic will be announcing a new Dawn of war expansion/game in 2007 but you know how those damn nuisence game desginers work: they'll probably announce early or mid- 2007 and not release the game until late 2007 or early 2008 (grrrrrrrrrr)
