I am 90% sure this will be the "new feature" that is coming with the patch.

I think the time in the Zone is based on months now as opposed to days/week before (can't remember). This may also reflect that you have been there for a while before the game actually starts i.e. you start in a cabin when choosing the Black Road.

Artifacts are now also skins and pelts from the mutants and things like under-armor pieces or CamelBaks I believe.

I think they will address the incorrect item icons showing in the patch.

Comparing the changes from Misery 1.2 to 2.0 and to vanilla numbers in scripts, the enemies have it way easier when it comes to taking damage. The player threshold for damage is more than halved (so you take more) when compared to Misery 1.2, so a bullets will tear your limbs off while enemies (even naked) will walk through like noting is happening.

I've successfully merged the values from Misery 1.2 for my NPC's and actor, and can honestly say that it is more enjoyable now for me. I am a veteran player who has completed CoP over a dozen times, half of which were using Misery 1.0/1.2 and "I Work Alone" (the original Misery concept for those who don't know).

No offense to what the Misery team has done, but I felt the values in 1.2 to be a great balance for combat.

I hope to see some development over the coming months to get this amazing re-imagining polished for the STALKER community.

The Black Road starts you in a random location (I believe) with very limited supplies, or none at all (heard both).

It's an for those who want to start with nothing and experience a greater difficulty for the first part of the game. I would recommend it only if you are confident with the new mechanics introduced with Misery 2.0.

1. Are you running the mod as Administrator?
2. What are your system specs?

Agreed, but maybe someone will start a community wiki.

Uninstall Misery 2 and make sure that your merge the 2 file structures together properly for the mod. If you used an already combined installer, just try a re-install. Always run the installer AND GAME as Administrator as well.

Misery always caused a little amount of stuttering when entering a new area in the Zone. The only suggestion would be to turn down your graphical settings or upgrade to 8GB of RAM. I moved to 8GB from 4GB since Misery 1.1 and have noticed a great leap in overall performance and enjoyment with the mod (and other games). For reference, I use a Radeon 5570, which a low-end card now, but run at a manageable 40+ fps with most graphical settings maxed in Misery 2.

There are repair kits for specific equipment types. You can buy these or find them in stashes or loot across the Zone. These can be further enhanced by using other things like animal pelts. I think sewing kits will work on gas masks.

I haven't gotten too far into the game yet, and the mechanics are taking a lot of time to figure out, which is nice in it's own right.

Thanks for clearing that up. Patch 2 makes me think of a version 1.2 always. lol

Also, great addon. Can't wait to see it in Misery 2.0 as well.

By 1.1 do you mean Patch 2? Sorry, I'm just a little confused.

When you open the image up in the slideshow box, there will be a small "(view original)" beside the title of the image, click that to open up the real image. From there just right-click and save as.

The image dimensions can be seen on the right hand side under "Image Details".

In excitement for the V2.0, I played through V1.2 again. It is still one of the best experiences on a PC game of this genre.

I am in great anticipation for all the new content, and it will likely suppress my sadness for no S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. Sounds like I might need to buy some new RAM however. ha ha

Awesome work with this. I just recently downloaded it after a reinstall of CoH. It really feels like the missing piece to the entire game. Keep up the amazing work.

If the team needs help with balancing and testing, I'm game. I'd offer my other services but it would run into my own projects unfortunately.

I fixed mine. Had to extract the files and change the names of the playable characters. For some reason none of the ones that were set are available to me.

You might have the wrong version of it. I tried the A2 just to see and had a similar error. Just a thought.

This is what you get when trying to start a server...

mpmissions\__cur_mp.Takistan\mission.sqm/Missions/Groups/Item0/Vehicles/Item0.vehicle: Vehicle class Citizen1 no longer exists

So pretty much it is looking for an item that we OA owners don't have, and therefor cant load the needed resources when trying to play.

Any word on a fix for OA? I've scoured the various forums and have turned up nothing.

Amazing piece of work the team has accomplished here. Breathed new life into LoTR for me, since BFME2 has been less than exciting for a while. Keep up the great work! Can't wait to see all the factions in action when they are ready.

AtmosFear 3 works with I Work Alone 1.2, but takes away some of the core elements of the IWA Mod like the use of sleeping pills and the sleeping bag. This is the only major thing I could find as of current.

Looks amazing.
