Well deserved, stellaris is a great game but it looks like we're getting a proper trek title with entirely new gameplay!

How many times has starfleet been in a fight with Klingons?

If anything the show recognised this perfectly with the ideals of the Federation forced into conflict with the ideals of the Klingon Empire. Democracy Vs Imperialism, diplomacy vs unbridled aggression, debate vs chest thumping, the rights of sentient beings vs slavery, et cetera.

Additionally, the Klingon Empire in isolation also shows this conflict within itself. Not only was the empire in the pre-enterprise era a nation of law and honour before it corrupted into militarianism, on a regular basis Klingons (at least the best Klingons) would demonstrate that the more 'primitive' aspects to their culture were also some of the most laudable - loyalty, honour, passion, comradeship, ceremony and responsibilities.

Star Trek has always been a discussion on the human condition, never has it been relegated to a simple pretty story.

from their posts it sounds like they are committed to at least one big final patch, but stellaris opens up alot of new avenues of innovation

The vulcan is super duper old, although it is perty, you'd be better off choosing a precision bomber like the Tornado

this effect does look very nice, although I believe this mechanism was used years ago in other mods. I would say that AP have integrated the look and feel of the headlights into their excellent map ambiance very well, if not the most well that I've seen.
