Under the codex astartes scribed by Roboute Guillman after the Horus Heresy, a chapter design was brought to gear for the space marines called chapters.
A chapter is one fighting force of space marines at its maximum size to prevent further heresy issues on the scale of the horus heresy.
One chapter is composed of 10 Companies.
each company contains roughly 10 squads.
each squad contains 10 marines.
every chapter has auxiliary staff and they are never exactly 1,000 marines, it it is a rough guide.
We use roughly Company size in UA, so this chapter deployments would seem strange I guess. :)
I have seen several chapter deployments over the years but not as affluent as it should be. But remember this gaming system is designed at youth that could not manage that level of management of units. :)
these will also come unpainted and will need painting each and every single one. :P I wouldn't like that, as it would be a rough job, with each squad taking at its best a week to paint so the 199 squads raking 100 weeks, Plus auxiliary staff, meaning roughly 3 years... If it was a dedicated painting regime. :)
People see the picture and think yes I want tat, but they dont think of what it would take to actually have it useful.
Let alone be able to manage that level of assets. :)
What would be good to make this worth buying from GW.
Would be if they went through the generations of space marines from 3rd edition.
Not just a mass spam of carbon copies of the last edition space marines.
Otherwise diversity and uniqueness in the chapter buying approach would be less and also would be the chances of wanting to pain it all. :)
That's awesome! I haven't encountered anybody with TT sisters (let alone 700!). I've met a few people who say they foresee the sisters being squatted, because of sales reasons and judging by the recent trend of their fluff in ward's codices. Badass, that's good to see someone with such a big collection of 'em.
(although these same people who prophesise a squatting of the sisters probably don't know that squats were snuffed out because of artistic reasons rather than sales reasons. And I would HOPE that GW see how aesthetically and thematically distinct SOB are to be of value to the setting in this respect.)

Almost 10'000 euro in price. Oh good God. Spiritual liege or no, I don't see anybody buying the whole set... nobody would be that silly, right? Right?
After over 20 years of collecting I have more then one chapter of marines, but only company sizes for all of the chapters. :P
20+ years and not even I would do it. :P
Now that is saying something. :P
Combined with the fact that they only character-ed it out for Ultramarines, I mean seriously, Maybe if it was a fluffier chapter. :P
700 sisters in my convent, I am close with just SOB. :P
