Discovery and Crossfire have their own installers and should be played at separate times. they both run servers and have a robust online community. other than that most of the mods you see use freelancer mod manager Moddb.com download this and it will store your mod and you can activate them and inactivate them. here is something you activate a mod with the mod manager and everything else you want to use is red which means that mod should be activated by it self

you have to check the mods out in the mod manager. if the mods are black they work together if the mod is orange it might work if the mod shows red they don't work. mod makers have a way to make no mods work with their mods with a script they put save safe is true. that makes it that no other mods work with their mods.

you need the freelancer mod manager to make the mods work for you. visit the starport for more help The-starport.net
or lancersreactor.org also the mod manager can be found here.

patch 1.4 is just and sdk your game will still be 1.0 you have to download a mod first then your exe file will have a different number than 1.0

don't use trainers you can get mods from the starport The-starport.net also when you uninstall freelancer some stuff remains this is what you do . go into your c drive x86 and delete the Microsoft games folder. if you have more than one game from Microsoft just delete freelancer. second go into my documents and delete my games folder again if you have two games that share that folder delete the freelancer with that done run through a registry fixer and clean out your pc cc cleaner works and advanced system care.

nice server and good people. I play occasionally on they're server.

i highly recomend this mod and server. its great for me because i had to downgrade my internet and i get very low ping from this server. with no lag at all.

problably not they make mods to work on the server only. this is a total remodal of the game nothing of freelancer really exsits. check out theyre forums there might be an open single player fix. i remember there was one at one time but you had to edit files.

i am working on something new right now i am calling it the Alaska expansion mod. picking up after the order mod. the navy and order decide to coral the nomads and try to force them in zone 21 this causes all the mines to explode wiping out some navy order fighters and all of the nomads. leaving a mass of junk in front of zone 21 and the Alaska jump gate. some corporations decided to expand into Alaska and start business there.
