This is not a mod its a campaign for Wolfman MC2X which is distributed as complete package. Technically it is possible to copy/past all Carver V mission files into the relevant folders and play the campaign. But as the code for playing movies was not included by Microsoft they won't work. Best would be to talk to Wolfman himself how to get things going with the latest build of his mod.

Which mission? Usually salvaged mechs behave from that moment on like any other mech.

Hi there, the textures are uniquely made for these maps. If you want to play the main game with HD textures you would have to completely redo them from scratch for every map of the carva campaign.

in general: if mc2 doesn't start it most of the time because you have to reboot (no error, game just shuts down while starting, no idea why) or you have not the correct vc redist installed (you will get an error).

try to start the MC2XGame.exe inside the mc2s folder. Some firewalls block the functionality of the starter exe

check your errorxxx.log.txt files. The first line of the log would be interesting.
Have you tried to run the MC2XClean.bat
Does is also crash with uncustomized mechs?

Hi lowenz: check the prefs.cfg file. These are the resolutions MC2X supports. Just change the number in this line: "l Resolution = 3"
0 = 640by480, 1 = 800by600, 2 = 1024by768, 3 = 1280by1024, 4 = 1600by1200
5 = 1440by900, 6 = 1680by1050, 7 = 1920by1200, 8 = 1366by768

But I have to say that I won't release any custom mech models with this first release. They need some additional animations and as long as I'm not able to spend some time on them I want to focus on the campaign first.
