You have no idea how glad I am that you are undertaking the task of making a Generals mod. I just looked at what's in store for Generals 2 and I'm afraid that they will go on pay me more money spree since it's a free to play game. It would have been preferable if it was sold like its previous games. I can imagine it now a unique stealth aurora for $10, and for an extra $2 you can upgrade it into a stealth fuel air aurora. Another $3 and it will get a unique hypersonic sound effect. Pay another $1 and your veteran pilot can now eject. The horror!

I wish you the best and will be awaiting your finished project with anticipation. :)

Upgraded redbacks are the best AA. They shred infantry and air units. The Humvees can't even come close to its rate of fire and damage once upgraded. It's also better than the Pantsir because it's always mobile and can go en masse.

The first time I watched the nuke leave the silo and I was so into the game playing against NATO that when I launched it I had to say "Eat nuke you capitalist do..." as I watched in horror that the boosters didn't ignite and thought it was gonna decimate my own base only to find out with great relief that there was a delay. XD

Well I couldn't resist testing my nukes if they were still active. Nukes on kangaroos, I know but a general has to know if his nukes are duds not not. XD

Yeah, I have to agree with the AA. I was playing NATO and the USSR AI just went spamming Death Hammers. I kept spamming Humvees(only AA for NATO) for the assault on its base and they were all scrapped in just a few moments. I think Death Hammer should be a one of a kind unit like the Liberty Walker. The artillery's range is too short as NBomb pointed out. I remember a mod from Zero Hour that has a Topol M(only 1 can also be built) and it could be fired anywhere from the map but the missile has to be purchased every time it fires.

The flame tower is designed to devour infantry like there's no tomorrow because Soviets don't have anti-armor turret. In fact they have only a single defense turret. Just roll in the tanks to crush flame towers. Pansir vehicle can act as an anti-air turret but it's for late game.

Liberty Walker animation seems... I dunno wrong. The front right leg and the rear left leg should not move at the same time. The walking animation should look like the same with The Mammoth MK II in Tiberium Essence. It really looks natural like an elephant walking.

Wow the A-10 strike just sounds bombastic with avenger gun intro followed up by the missile strike. Although it would be nice if the Soviets had the SU-34 and turret other than the flame tower. The Aussie infiltrator looks awesome btw. It's like he's from Metal Gear Solid. XD

Oh, good to know. The unit voices are integral for the immersion factor but even without them which is like Supreme Commander is still awesome. I'm really playing with a smile on mah face right now XD

If we can wait for 4 years then 4 days(including previous delays) is nothing. It's just a minor setback so chillax and it'll pop up in the download section in no time. Oh and no childish trolling or adult ogring. Everybody just forgot about the ogres because trolls bask in their infamy. XD

Lols. I cannot betray that which did not have my allegiance in the first place. I only stated what I noticed while playing against my friends and I admit I was wrong because the Allies were not my forte in RA3. My favorite is... was the Empire. I mainly use the following factions:

RA1: Soviets
RA2: Allies
Yuri's Revenge: Allies
RA3: Empire
Shock Therapy: Soviets

Okay scratch my previous comments, disregard and bury them. My friend proved to me in a match that I clealry do not know how to use the Apollos. How can I delete my own comments anyway?

I may have lost that battle but I am enjoying the Soviets now. :)

Whoa! This mod is actually good. I'm enjoying the co-commanders a lot. Hope this gets a lot more attention. Maybe you should change the poster to attract more people. :)

Oh can you buff the Harbinger a bit because it lacks punching power for that price.

I am relieved to hear that you agree. I remember back in the Vanilla days when my friends are caught while trying to sneak their Kirov's and get caught by my Apollo's and it made their faces cringe. :)

Now even if I catch them sneaking, I feel the Apollos had no more punching power and I'm the one doing the cringing. Ah yes back then the skies were friendlier for the Apollos. XD

I believe the fighter hierarchy should remain the same like in Vanilla when it's about air to air and against all flying targets.

Apollos > MiGs > Tengus.

I think I'm beginning to understand why the fighters even in Starcraft were designed to hover while firing because flying and shooting around is inefficient which in turn wastes a lot of firepower. I utilized the stop command but once they resume firing they immediately swerve some distance to reacquire the target that is just in front of them. They will always turn away no matter what I force them to do :(

I just lost to my friend when he managed to do a suicide run of 3 Kirovs to my base versus an emergency scramble of 8 Apollos. It's not like they were already in my base when I noticed them. They were still just a little further away from the fog. The Apollos would have had no problem and shredded them if they were just hovering and shooting like they used to. I can really feel the sting of dogfighting lowering the dps of fighters. I'm not claiming to be an excellent player far from it. I think I'm at average level at best and I know it could have been prevented by this and that but no player exists on this earth that has never been caught off guard. Perhaps the damage of fighters should be increased to compensate for the greatly reduced amount of time it spends firing at the target since it enjoys swooping around so much or just remove the dogfighting mechanics and revert it to hover mode.

I know that you guys placed a great deal amount of passion, effort and labor in making the dogfighting work and I have no intention of disrespecting you in any way because I have absolutely no knowledge in modding but I hope you guys can improve that area in the fighters. So far, this is the only flaw in my opinion that is present in Shock Therapy. Everything else is plain fantastic. Enjoying this mod a lot and playing it for hours with my friends. :)

Thanks, Psi. It seems that dogfights have increased the fighter micro but I will try out that tactic. Plus it's easier with the Migs than with the Apollos because Migs dish out instant damage while Apollo cannons trickle in bit by bit which is easily interrupted when fighters disengage to try another attack run.

Is anyone having a hard time letting their fighters survive an aerial battle? Dogfights will give you bombastic air action and is fun to watch but my fighters just flies all over the place and most of the time stray into enemy AAs which in turn shreds them. :(

Don't get me wrong because I really love the mod just having a problem with dogfights. Any advice would be appreciated.

Is there a new model for the Vertigo bomber in TE because the one from the Heroic mod Vertigo looks like a killer and says "smooth and slick".

The version 1.4 still rocks even if it's almost 2 years now but having 1.5 would be pretty nice. :)
