I believe turning up your Gamma settings (under video tab) at night will help this. I've had to do similar things with a lot of other games (not other mods, just other games). Turn it back down during the day so it's not bright white.

Can't download the latest version of this mod because the guy holding the halberd is blocking the 5.0 Link and 4.1 link.

The mod is good and can be fun. But, a lot of the servers are run by complete tools who break their own rules, or allow their friends to break the rules. E.g., Fighting off and killing 3 would be robbers, who then come back to life and revenge kill me (which is supposed to be a ban). They claim they were robbing me again, though no words were ever spoken. I have the recording, offered it to the admin to prove they were lying. Admin refused. They attacked me again, I killed 2 before the 3rd cut me down. They cried to the admin and said I tried to revenge kill them. Offered recording as proof they were lying, again, and admin refused. I was banned. Almost every server is the same.

I wish I would have thought of that... Lol. Thanks.

Lol. Any reason I can't click on the most recent version to download it? I can click on all the older files, but the two most recent ones I can't click on at all.

- Actually, it looks like the image of the Pikeman (or Halberdier) might be blocking the links from being clickable. If I right click on where I should be clicking to download, I have the option to "save image as" instead of "open in a new tab," or etc.

Adding in lots of trees, forests, mountains, etc., would cause quite a bit of lag. That's why most mods seem "bland" as far as the world map is concerned. If the map is standard sized, it's not such a big deal. In the case of 1200 AD or 1257 AD where the maps are huge, the lag would be unbearable. At least, this is what I was told once before when I asked the same question...

New factions were gradually being added over time. However, since they just stopped working on it, all that is left is what they did accomplish before abandoning it.

That's because you installed EB2 (or tried to) in Program Files with the location of the original M2TW game, which is exactly what you were told NOT to do. You were supposed to create a second instance of M2TW [ i.e., original is in Program Files (x86) (or in the Steam folder, as per your case), and a 2nd one in a folder on your Desktop (which you use for EB2)].

The mod description made me LOL. I haven't tried it yet, but glad someone added a bit more realism to the game. Not sure what the big deal is, as you can blind / castrate / impale people already. Why not add in rape and roughing people up? It's not like that never happened in real life, anyway. Rape was far, far, far more common than history typically admits. It was very common to "rape and pillage." Not unheard of for prisoners to be raped, too. Let the whiners and cry babies complain. They can go make a G-rated mod like Teletubbies or Bob the Builder if they're so offended. Good work, man. Fight the machine! lol

As I said to you in PM, I will say it here for everyone to see as well. There was an error in the way Windows 10 did something. At least, I am assuming it's a Windows 10 issues because I've played plenty of other mods and have never had this happen. Since updating to Windows 10, I reinstalled M2TW and tried Red Falcon and it seemed broken. I also tried Europe on Fire (or flames?). I kept running into the same issue. For example, EoF's launch file is EoF.vbs (If I'm not mistaken on the name). But instead of the file being .vbs, the file is .cfg. I don't know why this is the case. The EoF creator said there should ALSO be a .vbs along with the .cfg file, but I don't have it. I'm assuming something similar happened when I tried Red Falcon. So, again... I want to very, very sincerely apologize. The mod isn't broken. Something very weird is going on, and I don't know what or why. So, once more... I'm very sorry for my previous post.

That's the problem... Instead of it being .vbs, it's .cfg. I.e.; instead of EoF.vbs or EoF.bat, I have EoF.cfg. It's the same for another mod I was going to try, too. The file used to launch the mod is a .cfg file. Am I missing some sort of software that is preventing my PC from launching/using .vbs or .bat files? Do I need to download Visual Basic Scripting Edition? Whenever I double click the EoF.cfg file, Windows asks me what app I want to use to open it with, and then I just sit there like "DERP." Sorry, man. Your mod looks awesome, but my PC is being dumb. ^_^

Sorry, might be a dumb question. After installing, I don't see a EoF.vbs file. Instead, it's EoF.cfg. If I try to change it to .vbs or even a .exe file, it won't run. When I try to load the normal Medieval 2 launch file, it says "Medieval 2: Total War encounter an unspecified error and will now close." Playing on Windows 10, no steam. Vanilla v 1.03. Tried running it in Win 8 compatibility mode, too. The game ran fine before without any compatibility settings (under vanilla). I've had this copy since launch; original Limited Edition version. I have Kingdoms, but I only recently reinstalled the game and patched it - didn't install Kingdoms. Ran fine up until I installed the mod.

I don't see any differences between standard vanilla and the Red Falcon mod, aside from 1300 start date and some more starting florins for some factions (i.e., Milan is at 16000). All units look the same, all units have same stats, Rebels are "playable" as far as a selection goes for campaign. Papal States is playable, but you can do that yourself by simply moving them from "unplayable" to "unlocked" in the descr_strat file. I don't see any new maps in custom battle, nor do I see the Welsh, Saxons, or anything else that is supposed to be different.

RiftZM2003 - - 15 comments @ Anno Domini 1257 1.11 patch for 1.10

OK, I managed to fix the problem myself and the solution is incredibly dumb. Originally, after I deleted the already existing old version of 1257 AD, I downloaded 1.10 and let it install to the default folder, then applied the 1.11 patch after. Among various other things, I just deleted it all and repeated the process. This time, while checking the file path, I noticed it said exactly where it was supposed to be. Instead of allow it to do so, I manually chose the file patch ( C: > (x86) Program Files > Steam > SteamApps > Common > Modules > 1257 ). STILL didn't work after applying the patch. So I did this ALL a 3rd time, but this time I created the 1257 folder BEFORE installing, rather than let it create the 1257 folder for me. For some reason, this worked. No idea what difference it makes, but it worked this time.

RiftZM2003 - - 15 comments @ Anno Domini 1257 1.11 patch for 1.10

Does this mod not work for Warband v 1.168? It used to work a while ago. Tried out Floris and Nova Aetas mod, Steam made me patch M&B to 1.168, kept playing Floris even after the patch. When I decided to go back to playing 1257, it's not there as an option anymore. It's still in the modules folder (all files there, too). I deleted the 1257 folder, re-downloaded and installed the mod with the most recent version (1.10), patched it to 1.11. Nothing. Still doesn't show up. I can't seem to find anything anywhere on how to fix this. I'm no newb when it comes to installing mods or moving the appropriate files to where they need to go, and adding patches to mods. Never had any problems with any mods before. For some reason, this one just will not appear for me to play any more. Any clues? Anyone having this same problem? Solutions?
