The SHP Builder has no use in generals at all, The sage/w3D engine doesnt use them at all.
There are the xwis servers (but unless you can get 'down with the kidz' expect to only face cheaters and n00bs, last time i graced there site the atitude was very much against any non RA2 game they hosted)
I would recomend (with some bias) CnCNet which abuses TS lan ability to host games over the intenet Cncnet.cnc-comm.com

The engine is Based on the Westwood 3D engine so EA cant be blamed for this one :L

there are some things that can be used but not all of its beta TS stuff most of its Alpha TS stuff/Early RA2 Beta stuff
There is a good chance you have, nothing special realy its only purpose will be as an advertisment. just thougth id make up for the lack of updates.

Unfortunately there isnt a better one and i haven come across any of the older editors map editors (it is something i would like to look in to eventually)

thay are the point is i edited the exe and changed some of the menus (the original TS menus dont say TS:Best of Beta on them or have info about how to log in to the xwis server)

i wont be adding in the deploying harvester idea because it wasnt in the beta version of TS but when my mod is out i am happy for people to Mod my mod
as for modding, if you check out the mods official page you can ask on the forums there and read some tutorials (when i get back from holiday im going to post more basic, Welcome to modding tutorials
at a push i could get the important codding and graphics done in a month but there are still lots of other less important things to do like re-creating the beta graphics

no because the option is not in the new menu. (i was not aware there were any WDT servers online)
there is a possibility i could add shotgun troopers in to the game but thay would not be directly buildable (you will have to capture a building first)
if i get one of the new units weapons codded correctly you wont need shotgun troopers anyway
as for the second idea (expanding your base with out a mcv) ;) (see if you can work out what allows base expansion)
