"does this require v1.5 of the basegame (ntw) ?"

With regard to the mod, did you figure out which version of NTW is required to run the game?

sir this steps will tell you about how i manage to work the great war WITH PIRATED COPY OF NTW

1.dl and install NTW v1.0
2.dl and install patch v1.3
3.dl and install(put the files in NTW\data\ Bit.ly
4.dl and install the great war v5.1
5.run the game for the first time using mod launcher
6.check all GREAT WAR.PACK then run (ofcourse it will not work! after that run again but this time do not run using modlauncher,instead run it with administrator)
7.VIOLA! :)

btw sorry for long long reply.. i am figuring out how to make the greatwar works for prited copy of ntw
