I'm a gamer out of new mexico. I play CSS, PR:BF2, TTT, all valve games, and like most fps, tps, rpg and I like unique tds, classic arcade with cur. gen. twists, and pretty much any indie that isn't trying to ooze out the same shit AAA title developers already have. Never found a mmorpg that didn't look the same (most seem to follow the same disproportional character design and cartoonish enviroments as WoW)and eventually come down to a repetitive grind like all of them do. The saying "There is more than one way to skin a mongoose, but it will have to be skint." comes to mind. I got into mods a while back when I started playing Sven-Coop. I have tried a lot of Source and GoldSrc mods. I enjoy games with mod-ability like the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series, Fallout 3, Oblivion, Arma 2, essentially any game with good base game-play and features with easy (or easy enough) scripting to tweak the game as I want it, and powerful enough for professionals to make top-notch mods that I can tweak as well

When I first saw Far Cry back in fall of '04 it took my breath away. Playing through the first level was like walking around in a painting of the pacific tropics. It was art to me. For anyone to be able to re-make far cry's open levels without breaking that familiar far-cry look, and expand on practically every detail, AND do it alone, almost seems impossible. I always thought someone would re-make farcry's beautiful enviroments and fill them with all the details imaginable, but NEVER would I have thought it would have been on the same engine version, or looking THIS good on the original. Great work, and thank you so much for what I consider Art.

I think the placement of the bushes are fine, and the rocky look makes a lot more sense than the overgrown hills that were there before. But I do think more color on the top of the rocks would improve it. A bit of a brown haze would make sense, and probably give it a more natural look.(After all, those bushes have to have a little dirt to grow, right?) Great work though, this scene STILL wouldn't look better with whatever texture packs modsuki pulled up. Hes looking for what you have replaced, not what was added in entirely new ;)

p.s.: I say overgrown hills because they were totally green and dome shaped, pretty much just sized up to a small mountain.

If you can hook up the drive to another computer and get the mod files off then reformat, hopefully you can get it fixed man, good luck.

I used to be really tight on cash and would pirate to try before buying, because i have wasted 50-75$ that I hated, all had decent reviews. So trusting reviews never panned out. I always deleted the pirated copy, if i hate it why bother playing it, if I liked it ill go get it on steam or on amazon. I never pirated indie games, even to try em. Most indie games are usually below 25$ at launch, so its not that big of a loss if its not my taste, and I help with future development, even if in an extremely small way. But I don't even pirate games anymore, no point in it if i have the games i like and the ones coming out look like the same sh*t.

Had a slight problem at install, said i had 233.1MB of space left, moved the install .exe to the desktop and it said i had 59GB (which is right). Just letting you know, probably something minor or just me. Specs if you need em:

instead of playing in single, start up your own LAN game, from the menu you can decide the bot ratio (100 is all on zombie team) and the amount of bots (48 is the max by menu, you can edit some script to increase that number but its a pain in the ***) but make sure to put the max players to 16 or somthing close to that otherwise it ***** with the bot count

yes it was in vietnam the soviets were giving the NVA AK47s, Scorpion Smgs, Rpg-7s, RPKs, and other weapons, along with plenty of ammo. i also remember reading somewhere that they also gave em Anti Air cannons, but im not sure.

wow, not trying to trash the devs or anything, but they could at least TRY to pay attention to detail:
1. There wasn't any electronic sights issued to US infantry during the Vietnam Conflict ,that is just silly. The closest thing to a red dot sight wouldn't be around for 15 years, and even then it looked like a big box on a gun rather than a sight or scope.
2. Some of the weapons in this game were never even USED in Vietnam DURING the Vietnam Conflict.(ehhem uzi... maybe instead try a scorpion, after all, the soviets were giving the NVAs scorpion smgs, ak47s, rpg7s, and bullets like ****** candy!)
3. A little bit of attention to details is nice too (RIS on the m16 in the 60's? try again buddy.)

All im saying is, the dev team needs to go watch full metal jacket and pay attention to what the m16s look like and do a little more research. Getting the details isn't that ******* hard, when you ignore the details is when it gets hard. It is easier to get the details right the first time so you don't have to go back and do it again, if you do you're wasting time. (note i referred to the Vietnam war correctly as the VIETNAM CONFLICT, because we never actually declared WAR on another nation. Same can be applied to the war on terrorism/Middle Eastern Conflict, technically its a CONFLICT.)

It might be a month or 2 but you can wait like the rest of us. As for DNF, it was all a dream and the whole project was in practically shambles from the start.

yea and remove the ridiculous ammo count on the p90, berretta 92f and especially the m249, 600 rounds in 1 magazine is kinda ridiculous but 100-200 would be better, how about 150 for balance? and maybe a zombie class that can haul serious ***, that would be fun to run from :D but besides the ammo counts this mod is awesome
