Yes, its true & it seems hard to win the game even on easy level, AND you can beat them. You need to play it more and more, try to learn from your playing experience in every match you play, use your mind, & make sure to make a plan or some short like a tactics. hope my answer solve your problem

Why covenant should have a titan ship right now when they have 3 type of CAS Class, and you could build up to 2 type of them at the same time?
I dont think they will put that idea into the mod in the future, but if they do, it will take a very long time to make it real.
Halo lore about ancient human is lack of any info about anything, specially about the ancient human ship. like the ship design, how they works, what kind of weapon the ship has, what kind of ship type the ancient human has, etc. thats what i know.
The Dev Team create everything in here mostly based on Halo's lore. if not, they will try to make it close to the Halo's lore as fit as possible, but like i say at first, it takes time to make it real
No, if you want to play the latest version of SotP (v0.90.2) you need SOASE : Rebellion v 1.94.
Your current game version only works with the older version of the mod (ver0.81.2, you can check in the "Downloads" tab).

DDS Class Carrier, Covenant's Light Destroyer and fleet support ship need a face lift too, the texture & models for these ship is too old

For me the best role for the Prowler so far is for Recon the enemy planet that i want to invade. And for the Stealth Cruiser, sometimes i put them into fast strike fleet/heavy reinforced fleet since the ship has a useful decoy ability.
But still they're not in maximum efficiency when i use them like that. Dunno maybe my combat strategy is sucks lol

Also play in Extreme difficulty means Death is one step closer to you. Try to play and adapt first in normal difficulty, thats my tips for you

That ability which is featured in SotP version 0.80 or 0.82 (i guess) is removed in the later update. But maybe they will add it back to the mod when The Post War Era Update is ready to roll.

From what i've known, it's impossible to do that. Scaling the CSO's dimension fit into the game would be difficult. It would be super long and big than the other class, & maybe breaking the gameplay visual in the game, no exception with bug/glitch.
if you already play this mod, see how big is the OAS class, the Covie's titan ship in the game. imagine it being replaced with the CSO.

Have you check the game’s Graphic option?
1. Try to enable the fast travel Features in the game option, load your games, and fast travel to any place in AW. See if the game can load up and you can be teleported to one of the location in AW’s map. If it works, there you go. If not,
2. Try to load up your old progress before you complete that mission, make a new save, and try to re complete that mission again. If you can finnish it and travel to AW, i guess you another progress contain a bug/corrupted files so its affected the game to CTD, if this step still not work for you,
3. Start a new game. Or re-install the game (really, i know maybe this is hard to do, but i’ve done this sometimes after i got some serious problem when i already making a far & great progress, but yea its fine for me cause i still want to play the game XD)
And always to try to make a new save after you making any progress. Sometimes the progress you had done have a problem in it and its affected to the game. Its help me to avoid any unecessary things that i unwanted to happen
Thats how AI on SoTP works, you need a good strategy to play this mod. Try to play the game on very easy difficulty for quite some time, and learn the tactics/anything from it. First time i play this i have the same problem wih you. Also try to play with your friend too
And.. yes, here some little help for you : try to know every ship’s role on the battle, create a bunch of it, & use it wisely. See the battlefield where you going to fight, & think the best strategy for it. Example : sometimes i used guerilla warfare tactics (surprise attack from every direction) to destroy the enemy fleet, but it only works when you fight on a planet that have gravity well with multi direction slipspace line, and also you must conquer nearby planet to use that tactics
