Report RSS Reaction Being Featured on Moddb's 20th Anniversity Unreal Post

:) Hello...

With the 20th anniversary of Unreal here, I was moved to see this website grand front page post linked to the article, this article: Moddb.com

Memories of 20th Anniversity

I visited moddb.com and saw the feature and then that's when I started to wonder if my mod would be featured, maybe because I knew I worked so hard on my mod.

Only to scroll down to see to see that my mod Salvage Storm being featured on the post... :D

Memories of 20th Anniversity

I was all like "yay, my work featured by professionals" and was lifting. One of the things I did was quietly updated my demo file for the mod. The video featured, was wild it was, wasn't in the file, so I was quick to update that with the time machine element and updated content that I reported. Was I upset that those where the ideas that I wanted to show that my mod would do, not really, because I haven't run out of idea but I suppose that's what makes the development alot more worth it.

One of the other points I've noticed is how they featured my mod at the bottom of the post like it's the most wildest and baddest mod on the website. Not that it's a bad thing or I'm going crybaby about that. I was aware the kind of impact my mod could be making if I finish it compared to all the other mods on this website. Some mods aren't complete transformations like my mod and have that Unreal feel to it, so maybe I shouldn't be surprised to see my mod being featured last.

It is the entire reason I've started and even finish other modding projects such as just releasing Salvage Storm weapons: Moddb.com

... and also I wasn't aware about Unreal Tourism from another user, which was released last year, because I thought that it would be a good idea just to have the player wonder around the Unreal world in peace, hence why I created Unreal Safari but not finished, but I think I'll check out Unreal Tourism first because it is the kind of mod I wanted. Not sure how I could have missed that.

Having pointing that out, it is nice being featured for once. I mean there are mods being featured all the time so I suppose that something to hold onto but it does feel like I've done things by default, maybe I got what I wanted because I was fully aware about the anniversary with 20 years since Unreal's release and it was almost like I was lining up to be noticed just for that, hence why I think that I got what I wanted but it's almost like saying to myself, that I'm not really making a mod, so it does bother me a bit that maybe I'm not giving fans of Unreal mods what they really want, so that's something I'm thinking about and working on.
