I have already made bodies and vehicle wrecks stay in several BF42 and BFV mods using Winrfa, ( Youtube.com Youtube.com ) but I am stuck on how to make vehicle wrecks stay in some mods like BF1918 and EoD. I got the bodies to last in those, but not the wrecks.

The vehicle Object files are configured differently in those mods. Usually I just change the lines in the vehicle object files that say ObjectTemplate.timeToLiveAfterDeath to 500 and the line that says ObjectTemplate.timeToStartFadeAfterDeath to 495. (I don't like to leave the vehicles any longer than 500 seconds because it can cause insurmountable blockages of bridges etc.)

However in the object files in mods like BF1918 and EoD there are no lines that say that. Any idea how to work around this? I can't stand playing any BF games now without long lasting bodies and wrecks.

This is a wonderful mod! I can't play vanilla BF42 anymore because of the greatness of this. I love the realistic vehicles, shot trajectories and death animations, and the maps make vanilla look pathetic. Is there any chance you could implement the permanent destroyed vehicles and 5 minute dead bodies feature from the Battlefield 1942 High Definition mod? That's all this mod needs to be absolutely perfect, (aside from more maps.)

I'm so glad you guys are still working on this great mod! I am so happy to see the Aztecs and Maya! I noticed a bug with the Freelancer part of this mod. When I got a promotion to Spanish Musketeer, my stats changed. I went from 11 str and 12 agi to 7 str and 7 agi. Int and Cha were not affected. I like having Freelancer in this, but is it possible to fix this problem?

Also, the sporting ladies and doctors are all speaking French. At first I thought this was only in France, but it seems to happen all over.

The new patch is great so far. I haven't tried creating my own troops yet, so I can't comment on that.

I really like the bullet effect when they hit the ground, but the dirt also flies off the bodies when I hit people. Is there any way to limit the flying dirt so it only shows up with misses?

I can only recruit generic farmers from villages now instead of faction-specific ones. The farmers all seem to be the same worldwide and upgrade to watchmen etc. In faction barracks I can only get crossbowmen and musketeers. I am not sure how I will be able to recruit infantry units to upgrade to pikemen and cavalry. I MIGHT be wrong about this as I have not played the new patch very long.

Here is a Wordpad file with face codes for the North American Indian troops and their chief and lords that I use in my own game. You may use it for a future patch if you like. No more beards and more American Indian looking faces made with the Asian face from your mod. Anyone who wants to can use a troop editor to change the faces to these.

Glad to hear you are making such great progress! Will the new patch be compatible with our saved games? If not, it's OK. Maybe it's for the best that I start a new game. My Spain is in big trouble right now. All the defecting Lords of all the world's nations seem to choose to go straight over to France, who is pretty much wiping us Spaniards off the map with help from the North Africans. :(

The New Elgante Warband mod also has a lot of Aztec style scene props including some great temples and buildings.

You should also add the Knights of Malta and their fortress on Malta as a minor faction like you have done with the Teutonic guys. The Ottomans tried to take Malta in 1565 in an epic siege.

I used that troop editor you linked to fix the bearded North American Indians, but I think the mod reset those changes too, because I am now seeing bearded Indians again.

I would really like to see you incorporate the Freelancer mod so we could serve as a soldier in the ranks of other Lords' armies in the early days of our careers. It would really add to the immersive mood of this already excellent mod.

There is an old mod for Mount & Blade .808 that has lots of Aztec weapons and armor. They would probably look a little crude next to your models but maybe if they were re-textured they could be a base to start from. Here is the site to download the old Aztec mod. Mbrepository.com

This is the absolute best mod yet for Warband! You guys are geniuses! This is the most immersive Warband experience I have ever had. The map actually feels like a whole huge world, not just a tiny easily traveled place like most other Warband and M&B maps that attempt to cover the world.

The graphics are magnificent. I love all the new equipment and scenes and features. The graphics are better than any other mod and do not slow down my game. The new blood and combat sounds add so much to battles.

I did alter the North American Indians a little with the troop editor as they had bearded European faces, but other than that the mod is almost perfect as it is.

One VERY IMPORTANT area you should develop in future releases is Central and South America. The 1500s was the era of the bold and ruthless Conquistadors. Cortez conquered the mighty Aztec empire of Mexico in the early 1520s and others soon conquered the Maya of Central America and the Inca of Peru. PLEASE consider adding Aztecs, Mayans and Incas to your beautiful mod.

Thanks so much for this mod! You have brought my all-time favorite game back to life! I particularly love the blood effects, permanent vehicle wreckage and 5 minute bodies. Those are things I always dreamed of having in BF42. All I need now is destroyable buildings, gibbing and blood stains on the terrain. The increased view distance is wonderful too but sometimes it makes the map seem smaller.

PLEASE tell me how to add the 5 minute bodies, blood effects and permanent wreckage to other BF42, RtR, SWWW2 and other maps, or is there a way to alter the game itself so that all maps have these effects? I am finding it very hard to play some of my other favorite maps without them!

Thanks again for the most incredible mod of all time. You are the MASTER!
