I have tried Rome Total Realism, Europa Barbaroum, SPQR and your mod. I must say that at the end of the day i think this is the best out of them all.

what do you mean by normal? just patch up your rtw to 1.3 and then to 1.5. if you can play multiplayer with other people online then you have 1.5

then there is something wrong with your connection. Download runs fine on filefront and file is negative for corruption. its your end. call your ISP and check your network connection.
