Just wanted to say that you are right about the Spartans not using the Macedonian phalanx with 20 ft spears. They did have a phalanx of their own, but used it offensively. If you've read the book "Gates of Fire," the Spartans would sprint at the enemy formation with their shields overlapping each other and the 8 or so ranks behind the front line pushing their shields into their backs. Allowing the distribution of shock and would knock the enemy off their feet, break their spears, and leave them dazed and winded.
hey i just downloaded this mod and i don't know how to start it....
i click on Rome total war to start the game but it ends up being the original version...
I have some problems with this pewrsian mod when I played as the mace adonians and seiged byzantium every time I hit the fight battle buton it would load but then the game would turn off also when I tryed to send men and a navy into syria the game would turn off any help would be nice thanks
