Yeah this mod is dead. Someone will pick it up further down the line. HL2 is eternal.

This mod really confuses the hell out of me.

It's obvious that a ton of work has been put into this mod, but it's unplayable because of how unstable it is. And it's been left like this for over a year.

You would think the creator would have pushed out a hotfix as soon as possible, so we could all appreciate the work he has done.

Alas, over a year later, theres nothing. People are even calling this a dead mod because of how long it's been broken. And it seems the only work the creator is doing these days is replying to these comments with one word answers.

Any other mod developer out there would have whipped up a hotfix within a week, so all their work wasn't for nothing.

The creator should really just come clean and admit he's lazy. Let someone else take over the development.

How do you disable the automatic shield/health regeneration?
I'm trying to play this with Jedi Outcast and my HP is constantly regenerating. It's too unfair, and it makes shield and health pickups obsolete.

Okay yknow what? I'm done. I've just been given the first quest by Sin. I feel no need or desire to do anything they want. I'd bet hard money that there wouldn't even be a reward at the end. Just got to Cordon so I could hand in 4 quests as well as some rough tools. The 4 quests netted me about 3000ru. The toolkit I didn't get jack **** for.

After upgrading my rifle so it can have a scope, now I am down to 74ru which will remain that way for hours, because you can't earn money in this game. And I'm expected to spend a fortune on upgrading my detector so I can "find artifacts" in order to earn more money.

Then I crashed. I'm so bored to tears. It's 1pm and it's still pitch black, which of course, it's lost alpha. I have to walk miles and miles to get where I need to go. I can't fast travel, because money. I say walk, because sprinting in this game seems slower than ShoC's regular running speed. Everything is a slow, painful slog, with nothing at the end to show for it.

I hated Lost Alpha before, and I still hate it now with this addon or whatever it is. The game is still broken in every way that matters. Nothing is fun. Nothing is cool. Theres nothing to explore, nothing to find, nothing to do. Just a bunch of nice looking maps with no reason to play in them. Everything in this game is a betrayal to the player. Walk miles for close to an hour, slaughter 30 people, get back, and have NOTHING except another mission. Found a cool looking little village in the middle of nowhere? Explore it all, and all you'll find is a makarov with a single box of ammo if you're lucky.

I see in this version you STILL don't get any rewards for completing story missions. In ShoC, once you get the Agroprom docs and turn them into barkeep, he gives you a stalker suit in preperation for dark valley. In LA you still don't get ****. Not even money. You're given another mission and told to get lost. And it's the same for almost every mission. No rewards.

How are you supposed to progress in this game? Theres no items to find, artifacts are only able to be found in stashes. The only way of making money is to take every single weapon you find and sell them. I hate this. This is not fun. I'm doing all this walking, and for what, 2000ru?

Why is it so hard for you to be given a reward for completing missions? Why is the gameplay is Lost Alpha still boring and evil? This game treats the player like ****.

Whoever is in charge, can you please clean up the Files page? There are way too many obsolete downloads in there.

All I want to do is play SMOD Redux, but theres like a dozen different versions. Should I play v8 or v10? It's too confusing. Most of them don't even have any install instructions as well. They need to mention that you need all sorts of different games and apps installed on Steam beforehand otherwise the mod won't work.

And I'm not downloading Elite. That mod looks like a complete mess of **** from other games and mods just crammed together. The creator is an ******* too from reading his comments.

Whats the key to bring up the spawn menu when debug mode is activated? Just want to test to see if all my addons are working correctly.

It used to be the 'S' key in previous versions, but it looks like it's been changed again.

Is this a final/official release of a final version, or are there more RC's yet to come? I don't go on Discord so I'm not up to date on things :p

You should really make an up to date, in-depth tutorial for the advanced saber mode. I can only do perfect blocks about 25% of the time, and I'm still not sure how I'm exactly doing it. Also, talk about how saber styles affect blocking too, if saber styles have any effect at all.

Found out why I was having trouble. I had Always Run set to On, when it should be off I guess.

Couple of duel maps are still quite broken, especially my favorite which is the sarlacc pit map.

This manual blocking thing is impossible to get the hang of. And it really really annoys me when I'm standing still and attempt to strafe while blocking, but all I do is stand there in a dumb blocking pose while the enemy's lightsaber cuts me in half down the middle.

Are there tutorials or something? So far, I haven't been able to do one successful block.

It's not a bug, the same thing happens in HL2 retail. The rocket pops out of the launcher, then activates. Just like certain launchers in real life.

Yup, did all that. I even saw that the scripts option in fsgame.ltx was set to false, so I set it to true to see if that would work.

I don't know what i'm doing wrong because it's still not appearing. I tried forcing the script to run through the console, but i'd just get 3 errors, and a continuous loop of the same error saying something about movement_type. Here's the log:

I'm not getting any of the snow effects. There is water running down my mask which means that it should be raining (snowing), but theres nothing. I'm using Particles Remade.

What?? So should I overwrite my vanilla user.ltx with the one in this download? Or should I leave my user.ltx untouched? What should I do?

Incredibly unbalanced. Not 5 minutes into a new game in Rostok, I found 3 suits and an artifact. I now have enough money to be in mid-game.

This needs some serious tweaking.

It might have something to do with the rain.

Will the FPS performance hit during heavy rain be addressed eventually?

Your mod is the best Stalker mod I've ever played!

I sure hope not. I've been waiting for 3.0 for a long time now, and I'm planning to sell my computer and getting out of gaming mid-September. I wanted Anomaly 3.0 to be the last thing I play, to go out with a bang.

Then he should **** off of ModDB and let someone else talk with the fans. Maybe that way he'd have more time to work on the mod. He is doing a terrible job at the PR thing, and it's making the mod look bad. It paints the mod and the developers as being incredibly unprofessional. And when a mod is made unprofessionally, it's ****.

You guys do realise it's never coming out? It was never going to come out. This whole mod has been fake ever since the last release. They have made almost no progress.

Scart is nothing but a fraud. He keeps this ModDB page up, gets peoples hopes up with "news updates" and other ****, then goes on the attack several years later when disappointed people start showing up asking whats happened to the mod, or saying that the mod is dead. I've got news for everyone. The mod IS dead. It was NEVER going to come out on Steam.

This whole ModDB page is a sad joke. It's a place where Scart can treat his fans like ****. It's time this page was removed for good, but Scart doesn't want that. He needs this place as his own little slice where he can be God, ******** on people to make himself feel better.

If you guys want an actual GOOD mod based on HL2 Beta, there are many others out there that's way better than Missing Information. They are actively being worked on and updated, and most of all, the creators don't treat the fans like **** with posting sarcastic, passive aggressive replies. Check out Dark Interval.

The Sarlacc duel map is very broken.
