*cough cough* S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 *cough cough*
You have to understand that GSC is a small company compared to what it used to be. To release a game which is in its entirety released (though with bugs) is extremely risky to release it officially, with the necessary promotion campaigns etc. They have to ask themselves are we going to earn our money back that we invest in releasing Lost Alpha officially, when it is already being pirated? The simple answer is NO. If the game wasn't leaked at all the chance that this mod could be an official add-on was substantially greater and now it is nihil.
If for example the new Call of Duty is leaked it is still going to be released. Why? Because it is an solid franchise and millions of people are buying it anyway. Can you compare GSC with Activision and CoD with STALKER? No ofcourse not. And that is the main reason why it isn't released.
"This is how it works. I'm also in the music industry, and labels arent releasing musics officially on vinyl or on beatport if it can be downloaded from the artist's page, or anywhere on the web. It was our fault to trust too many people, however we needed testers, and it was easier to select from those people who we already know for years. This word "know" is also inappropriate, since we never meet in public."
Quote from dezodor. The way it works in the music industry is just the same as the game industry. It is "ok" if the game is pirated after the release date of an game (because that is eventually going to happen) but when the game (or music) is released or leaked before the release date, publishers most of the time don't release it officially. Why you ask? Because most of the profit generates on the first week of release. BTW you don't have to repeat yourself over and over.
Some men just want to watch the world burn......
Yeah post the source which started all the trouble.. Are you kidding me? You are contributing those ********. Think twice before posting something.
It is on the public side of the net. You're not looking close enough.
The guy that did it is a real dbag... What a dickmove.
Well it's easy for you to say because you already have the game ;)
Hey guys! Is there going to be a new update soon? :)
Woops I wanted to + your comment but my mouse was doing stupid, thanks man! Gonna play it now! :D
Awesome thanks for your answer. Btw what should I do? Play the stock version first or start with New Horizons mod?
Thanks for your answer.
I've got three questions for Hearts of Oak. 1. Do you have an ETA for the release date? 2. Will there be a Kickstarter campaign? 3. Will the gameplay look a lot like Age of Pirates/PoTC? Thanks in advance for your answers.
I've got a question. Does this mod change a lot of the gameplay of the original game? I really would like to just play vanilla as possible but with the bugs fixed.
Thanks in advance for your answer.
It's not the amount of memory that counts. The Radeon 5470 is a GPU that is build for a laptop and the performance of laptop based GPU's are very different from the desktop GPU's. You probably don't need a new pc. If I remember correctly the X-Ray engine is very RAM consuming, so you may want to upgrade that...
He's a tester, what a lucky guy!
Well guys Oleg Yavorsky is already playing Lost Alpha...
Here's his comment. I'm so jealous!!! :(

It's not that easy. People often check the community page with the discussions before buying a game. When there are a lot of retards whining about bugs or whatever it results that less people are going to buy the game because they're scared of posts that the trolls and retards made. Trust me if they are going to release it on Steam Early Access they need a person who moderates the Steam Discussion Forum as a full time job.
I think Steam Early Access would be a freaking great idea for this game. Make a few editions like: Base game, Special Edition, Collector's Edition. With digital goodies, soundtrack and whatever.
Pros: Feedback on the game, Receiving funds to complete the game (or to hire more staff), bugfixing goes more smoothly.
Cons: A lot of retards on the Steam Forums raging and whining about a game which is in alpha state (this happens a lot)
How about setting up an crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter? To receive the funds you need to complete the project.. BTW at the end of this month you guys are going to get a chunk of my salary. It's not much but every bit counts right? Peace
That's definitely not a good sign :( Thanks for sharing it with us..
It was an compilation, you can see it with the author credits.. It's definitely not just a graphics overhaul. You are also totally ignoring the fact that it completely changes the mechanics of the game, making the game too easy. Yes the game looked better but I couldn't call it a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game anymore with the complete mod.
Also watch this video the next time you want make a metaphor and look smart.
Also it's Salvador, not Salvidor.
The complete mod was just a compilation of a few mods and it made the game so easy that it totally defeated the purpose of the game: immersion and survival. The mod is so overhyped by the media and they're calling it Vanilla 2.0, which is false. The mod is "Ok" but there are a lot of better mods out there.
Maybe an idea for the next project when Lost Alpha is finished. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Fukushima?
Haha just kidding. Man I can't wait to play this game!! It's driving me crazy!
The rules of Lost Alpha:
1st RULE: You do not talk about Lost Alpha's release date.
2nd RULE: You DO NOT talk about Lost Alpha's release date.
You're the man! You hear me?! You're the man!! Keep up the good work!
