Found a pretty terrible bug that keeps you from making progress. Apparently the antlion "brenda" will go straight to a hanging cable and die as soon as you open the gates at the beginning, meaning I can't make any progress at all! I honestly thought it was some puzzle mechanic at first, but no it is not.

Vmfs included? That's freaking awesome. I ended up doing the same thing for my mod.

Glad people are still making mods for this awesome game, especially if they add some cool new element to the game. Great atmosphere and design, feels like I would be playing aom, keep up the good work!

Odd to see portal 1 mods still in development, but I'm sure they are still just as fun as portal 2 mods.

I had that error when I was trying to work on the map. I'm not entirely sure what that error is.

You do know you could just take the texture from the model in Cry of Fear and use Jed's model viewer to change the texture and save over it? Did this with the book Simon models in hammer.

Sweet, I really wanted to incorporate a gas station intro for my mod, but this looks sick.

Found the problem, the game can't load the zombie models, as found out by loading a custom map and trying to spawn one. I may just replace the models to get the mod working.

Currently copying hl2 files from source filmmaker, hoping this will fix missing textures and error models.

Get about 3 seconds into it, if I grab a gun or if I look past the gated area it stops working, also there are a bunch of error signs from missing models and the gates look like they consist of white lines, possibly from missing textures or models.

Yeah, with the fact Valve thought they were going to profit off it. No offense, I freaking love valve :D, But when I heard this, I knew what they were thinking. I cant blame them though I mean it is their engine, at least they cut them some slack by allowing it to still go through. Which even with all that said, it probably wasnt their fault, they apparently just didnt know it would be free to play.

Can't be any worse than people, like the people on Pcgamer for instance, who were putting this game down altogether because of graphics. That my friends, is a terrible reason to drop a game, and besides, I thought the graphics in this game were good. I guess they have to be next gen for their approval, shesh XD.

Oh and another thing, this game has genius written all over it :D. This is definitely one of those games you sit and think about during your playthrough and after. Genius story writing, kept me coming back to play it even though it is horifying, just so I could figure out what was happening.

Its at the peak of his strength that the game takes a desperate turn. You feel like the fear of these enemies is disapearing, then you face something else. You pretty much summed up the epicness of the last portion of the game good sir :D.

In the orginal mod, this was the only break in the game that lowered the difficulty was that occasional monsters would get stuck, now Im really screwed XD. When I didnt see the sawer running behind me it scared me to know that he might randomly catch me or pop up behind me after looking back several times, now I know he will. One thing that makes me wonder though is if constant unstopping ai might affect the slow steady pacing, one thing I treasure greatly from this game. Yes I know some perfer fast pacing, I just hope slow pacing isnt completely gone.

Wow, very superb map and texture design, definetly recreates the feeling of a real city, which is what I really enjoyed about CoF was the feeling of realism.

Now in terms of favorites that is still yet to be officially decided XD. The thing that scared me more was not knowing Simon's real mental state throughout the game, the reason being he was having moments of almost insanity, making me lose trust in his mental state and starting to question everything.

No offense, but Cry of Fear had a way of building suspention much better than that of AoM. The storyline of Cry of Fear was not ment to be a fast paced game, It would gradually become scarier as the game played out and was psychologically scarier than AoM. Im not going to lie these games scared the crap out of me, but the paranoia of Cry of Fear was a little more intense for me XD. One of the biggest thing that hurt AoM for me was the glitches, even though both games had them, The gameplay and story of Cry of Fear kept me coming back to see what would happen next. Both games have great replay value, story, scares, and gameplay. It just seemed like Cry of Fear worked it out a little better in my opinion. What kills me is when people dismiss these games for graphics.

Played Cry of Fear, then went to get this. Oh yes their games are horrifing XD. Cry of fear breaks confidence right away, this one did it slowly and methodically. Both scarying the crap out of me. The only difference is Cry of Fear caused me extreme paranoia, and did exactly what its description said it would do. Both are very fun!
