I see there's no digging, but what about placing blocks? For example, when I'm stuck underground and can't jump high enough to get to a ledge, am I able to place blocks and use them as a boost?

Uploaded a test drive video of PZ 0.2.0a to show off some of the new stuff!
Is there somewhere else I can download it? I don't see it on the official site either.
I can't find .42a on the website. Other than the demo... Sad face
I saw a Great Shark with something like 150 HP. That was just before it ate my stack. :( Haven't seen any islands or anything yet
Just posted a video preview of the High Cultist class!
Posted a new video with some Bergmeister game-play! Weed, guns, and gem-bots!
While I don't agree with your "value" statement I do think illwinter would be better served with a lower price. There's a movement here, with indie games getting more attention than ever and selling like hotcakes. But when folks start fishing around for indies to spend their money on, many will balk at a price tag that is roughly double the average (thinking of Terraria, Magicka, Orcs Must Die, Trine, Dungeon Defenders, Bastion, Avadon, etc). That's some stiff competition.
I also don't understand the theory of "we didn't miss the 'I bought it because it was cheap' crowd"; about folks not willing to pay $30. I'm cheap, because I have to be. I have a family and times are tough but I still enjoy games like CoE3 and Dom3 and would rather pay $14.99 than $29.99 (who wouldn't?). That's $15 I can put toward a kid's pair of shoes! That also doesn't mean I don't value the game or think it's worth more, because I do. I love it. I think it's worth $50! But that's from a gamer's perspective, not from a business owner's standpoint. :)
Anyway, this is all my $02 of course as a small business owner, dad, and gamer! :)
New video of early Necromancer class:
I've got a follow-up video with a necromancer on the way, during which I mention making videos for each class if people want to see that. I'm thinking one video per class, maybe 30-40 minutes of early game action just to show the primary variations.
Hope to get a Test Drive video up tomorrow. Will likely be about 30 minutes of game-play and gushing commentary. :)
I uploaded a video preview/tutorial of Alpha .402: Youtube.com
