Is there a mod for allowing an XBox controller to work with the game?
Is there a mod for allowing an XBox controller to work with the game?
Won't even start for me. Just goes to a beginning black screen.
Sorry about that. Totally missed reading the Readme section on that instruction. Game is working fine now.
Can't get it to start. Keeps CTD after the Valve logo screen.
Can you fix the issue where you can not get out of the sewer area past the construction yard? It's the spot after you go up the caged flight of stairs and through a tunnel, exiting into a semi-large dry sewer spot with a big grate over a high square opening in the roof that you blast open. I've tried and tried to use the bounce weapon to get up and through that opening. Nothing. Plus, there isn't anything to use for gaining extra height. So, what's the deal with this area? Right now, I can't go any further.
Who's the kid, chump. I'm 44, so get off your high horse kid.
Anyone who does give a ****, that's who. Clearly you aren't one of them, so stop trolling.
You guys should get with the crew that made the awesome Stargate mod for Garry's Mod that has a perfectly done SGC with working gate that takes you to the interior of the Abydos pyramid (though you've clearly already finished your area since the video shows that). Problem is, why does the pyramid interior look so damaged and unfinished? It ought to be fully complete, since it is an old structure.
Looks awesome. Can't wait to play through it. The last part of the preview had an error though. In that Chumtoad cavern, there were frogs clicking. If this takes place in the Antarctic, there wouldn't be any in that region.
Looking awesome. Can't wait for the release. :)
I hope there will be some mods for this great game.
True, true. It definitely looks way better than the original games graphic engine. Will this be a stand-alone game or one that needs the original loaded?

Looks awesome, though it would be 100 times better if you had used the "Black Mesa Source" graphics engine.
Thanks for the information. Very helpful and interesting. Now I can add that to the MP3 properties.
I just started playing it and found the constant hands up in the air somewhat annoying. No one walks around like that. They should only come up with activating something or holding a two-handed weapon. Also, the continual use of the creaking door in the building quickly becomes grating on the ears. I like the look of environment, though the doors are a bit small and wide compared to real world ones. It would be nice to back out of the menus with the ESC key instead of needing to click the X.
Never mind about the song title. You had in the properties. It's "Lights Out". The track sequence would be "Year of Death", "Lights Out" and then "Dark Skies". My other question still stands though. Did you get Joel to make them?
Playing the beta right now and I'm really enjoying what you have done so far. I haven't made to the outside area before the missile's launch pad yet, but the remaking of the original levels is perfect. I found a few bugs and took some photos. Found a dead soldier with a headcrab clipped into his feet. The microwave in the lunch room area before you enter the missile silo location has an issue with the door. Instead of opening, it literally comes off. At the monitors by the switch that raises the gate blocking tram access to the half-opened red metal door where you meet the two soldiers that shoot at you while riding by on another tram, the screen that displays the previous area with the laser mines continues to show one still active to the left of the view, even though I destroyed it.
Other than that, it has been playing perfectly. My main question has to do with the three new music tracks. Two are titled - Dark Skies and Year of Death (which I believe plays in the area I'm at now, after you go through the area where the two soldiers were riding the tram and get somewhat ambushed by the missile launcher guy in the dark room). But what is the yoc.mp3? Year of Crap? LOL Year of Conquest? Also, the songs sound just like all the other great Joel Nielsen tracks he did. I assume you got him to create these for the mod? Thanks for the answers.
In the preview video, you only showed San Ferro. Have you also done the other cities and locations as well yet?
Looks good, though from the video preview, I'm not keen on the beach texture. Looks more like concrete instead of sand.
So I take it this mod is completely dead then? No one, not even the creator, is going to help me with the issue I'm having when it tries to load? I would really like to play this mod.
Also, if I wasn't a big fan of the game, I wouldn't have bothered to post a ton of excellent desktop wallpaper images and anaglyphic 3D conversions of most to my Image Gallery for other fans to enjoy. :)
Voice acting and G-man appearances would definitely be worth saving IMO. Hopefully they will. Yeah, the boss alien baby thing is something that really needs tweaking, which is clearly something they are working on other than the all-around layout of the Xen world appearance.
Hmmm, I've never had any crash issues with the game. Stuttering graphics after a load screen, but I fix that by whipping the view around a second or two and it goes away.
Thank you for the support. I LOVE BMS. It's a fantastic updating of the classic. I do wish the flickering of the Gluon gun would stop though. Not sure why it persists, but at least it works fine.
Ah, okay. Thanks. I still prefer the normal aiming like in the Prologue.
Well, after playing it for a bit, I've already found one annoying thing that needs fixing. The weapons do not fire straight. In the Prologue, I could hit whatever I aimed at (and the reticle stayed on the screen unless turned off). Going through the weapon training course, I had to aim to the right of any bottle or target just to hit them, instead of straight shooting. That's not good.
Also, what's up with the fuse situation? I got the one from the attic (which is a weird place to keep spares. In the kitchen cabinets would have been better) and it just blows out after putting it in. If there another one somewhere I have to find now?
Oh yeah, the basement stairs door will jam on your character at times. I was going up into the hallway and tried closing it, only to find my character became wedged against the doorway and the door. Luckily, I could back down the stair and reopen the door, but that shouldn't have happened.
It's just you. Time for a graphics card upgrade. You should make sure your graphics drivers are up to date as well. I don't have the most powerful machine in the world, but it plays the game perfectly.

The big problem is Valve. They've put an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) on the team, so they can't say where they are in the development of second part to BMS. This situation is very stupid and Valve had no reason to put them into this situation. They should have the right to let fans know what is going on with the project and when an estimated release date will be.
As for the original ending of HL, you can forget that. The BMS team is clearly tossing those pain-in-the-rear levels out for better flowing game areas, especially that annoying boss battle finale.
