Dear friends, thank you for your patience and support. I've been developing three games since 2020, and now, I'm finally all set up to publish all three in the coming week. I've been radio silent for a few months on the site and probably kept few people wondering what's up. There's a lot of new stuff to go through in next few days. Improvements, changes, including a full platform transition to Itch. I'll be going into details very soon. But if you're really, really, reaallyyy curious, then check out the game's official website and explore things a bit. I leave you with a preview of the upcoming Knights & Legends: Dawn of a New Age. New gameplay videos and images will be coming soon!

How Did I Get Here?

There's this 1 in 10 chance you'll come across this "forgotten" dev latter leaning against one of the houses in the Vancroftian living quarters.

When you're up there, you'll notice some weird stuff happening with the game. Basically the edge of the world. What lies beyond? Only one way to find out. This is a fun little extra I threw in there in reference to my enthusiasm and interest for our own universe.

When you hit the K key, "knights & Legends". You'll go into first person mode. This will give you some really cool cinematic looking views. The game was designed in third person perspective, so you can't fight and engage with the world in first person view, only walk. If it becomes popular among supporters than I'll implement a fully functional first person option in a later update. To return to third person mode, press the HUD key.

All captures presented till this day were taken in this manner, so basically all content shown is actual game footage and not some special hype CGI. The game offers a bit better graphics than normally shown but this is all my current PC can take. I saw it in 4K and it looks awesome! Sucks it wasn't my PC though. Same for current videos, I normally use OBS studio for video captures but end up getting reduced FPS as my current PC can't handle it at higher resolutions.

If you want to try out the Lost Chapter Demo for Dawn of a New Age, check it out here. The game will be available for Windows and Mac, come November 18th 00:00 PST.

It's been almost a year and half since I began working on my games, and a phenomenal experience filled with joy. Overcoming all obstacles I found, one day at a time. Working with a limited budget sucked, but that didn't stop me from giving it my best. I'm glad to announce development of Knights & Legends: Dawn of a New Age is finally concluded. Same goes for Shotguns & Zombies: Zero Hour. I'm very excited about both games and I think gamers will too.

Knights & Legends: Omega is currently the only in-development project at this time. However, there's a small change of plans regarding the latter, and release dates for all games as well. Omega, will now become an episode-based jrpg. I have some big plans for it, so I don't want to rush it. It features a play first, pay later module. Basically players will get to download it for free, and at their own convenience support the game with a PWYW option on both Itch and DriveThruRpg. Once the support goal is met then I'll start developing episode 2, and so on. The cool thing about it is the game can go on for several years for as long as fans keep supporting it.

As for release dates, they were all over the place. I figured it would be a bit easier for everyone including myself, to launch all three games on Q4 2021. The definitive date will be November 18th, at 00:00 PST. Dawn of a New Age, Omega, and Shotguns & Zombies will all be available at the same time on both Itch and DriveThruRPG e-stores. I'm also planning a Steam release for all three at a later date.

I've updated the games website with new gameplay videos, teasers, demos, and some fresh new articles. Feel free to check it out at Knightstabletoprpg.com whenever. In these next four and half months I'll be planning my marketing approach and organizing my thoughts to best serve the steadily growing Knights & Legends fanbase, for old timers and new fans alike. I certainly hope my games help inspire other game devs, and who knows? Even help set new standards amongst the Indie community for as minimal as they can be.

Thank you for your continued support!

Sincerely,
Felix, J.

Hope everyone is doing well. I've released a playable demo for the upcoming Knights & Legends: Dawn of a New Age, on Itch and DTRPG. The game is a TRPG hybrid. Included in the Ultimate Edition are, the Classic K&L Core Book, Adventure Trilogy, New Horizon All-In-One Core Book, NH Adventure Books, OST, Original Animation, Collector's Booklet, and the full 3D game. It should keep a lot of us busy for a good year.

You can check out the demo at Drivethrurpg.com or Noobdev7.itch.io

In the near future I'll be releasing both Knights & Legends: Dawn of a New Age and Shotguns & Zombies: Zero Hour. Both are 3D games accompanied by a their own tabletop rpgs. You can play solo or with friends, and there's a ton of hours of entertainment to be had.

But what then? Last month I was going through the analytics at dtrpg and saw my books had sold a whooping 13,883 copies. That's no small feat for a guy that started making games on his own around late 2016. Since I don't have new releases planned for 2022 I thought I'd leave my info in the forums, for those looking for a programmer or writer in the near future.

Making games is my passion, so why not keep making them!?

Hope everyone is doing well! We find ourselves in some hectic times but better days are ahead. Hopefully soon...

I've two big releases planned for this year. Knights & Legends: Dawn of a New Age, and Shotguns & Zombies: Zero Hour. Both are TRPG hybrids and will include the core book(s) with a dedicated 3D game each.

K&L: DNA was set to be released last November, but due to the pandemic I've changed the release date to later this year. The good news is that both games should be released together. You can expect several hours worth of gaming for a friendly price. The main reason behind the delays are rather selfless. I want everyone to be able to sit down and play, including our healthcare heroes and essential workers.

Thank you for your patience and continued support. Stay Safe!

Delays & New Releases

NoobDev7 Blog

Dear friends, 2020 is coming to an end! With the new year comes many great new things, like winning the fight against Covid-19, new releases, and most importantly, getting back to our normal routines. I'm going to be very honest with you and tell you the reason why there's a second delay with the early release for Knights & Legends: Dawn of a New Age.

#1: 2020 has been a terrifying year for many of us, and I feel like there's nothing to celebrate imho. The release of K&L: DNA is something that must, and will be celebrated for being such an unique and ambitious new project in which I'm sure you'll love.

#2: I see the struggle. There's no one who can predict the future, and all we can do is try to prepare ourselves not to be caught by surprise. I'm not interested in launching the game at this moment due to so many of us stressing out and worrying about the near future. Matter of fact, the $19.99 you would pay for several hours of entertainment can be best used for other household priorities. I understand not all of us were directly affected by Covid-19. However, I must not neglect the fact that there are many of us out there who either didn't have a choice or simply have to face this pandemic headon, like frontline and healthcare workers in order to make ends meet, or simply because they're fulfilling their duties. While I can't change reality, I sure can try to make things a bit better. In honor of all of those who simply can't find the time to enjoy or afford the things they like I'll postpone the early release until April 1st, 2021. Hopefully this is the last delay and things will slowly begin to get back to normal by then.

#3: I'm so confident 2021 will be a great year, that I have a double release planned for you. Today, Knights & Legends has such a undeniable success story behind it, that I owe a sincere and warm thank you to all of the game's fans. Right now I'm working on a new IP called Shotguns & Zombies: Zero Hour. Unlike K&L, S&Z is set in the current world and will debut with a 3D game and quickstart pdf for you to continue the adventure as a Tabletop RPG. If Shotguns & Zombies meets certain expectations, I'll gladly continue developing it alongside K&L games.

I hope you're staying safe throughout this pandemic and I wish you a happy new year!

Sincerely,
Felix, J.

Dear friends, today I was working on a new subscriber feature for the game's official website. On your next visit, you'll notice the new subscribe window pop-up. If you're not interested at this time you can simply dismiss it by clicking anywhere on the page, or on the traditional "x" button. You'll only see the message once, if you change your mind you can come back the next day and subscribe.

The Pros

Unsubscribe any time you'd like! (From the first e-mail on)

Also, I can't emphasize enough how it will help me better understand the size of the game's current fanbase in order to better suit your needs and expectations. The more the better!

Regard,

Relieving some of the pressure is fundamental to keep your thoughts on the right track. Needless to say, the development of Knights & Legends: Dawn of a New Age was no small feat. I've put so much thought into this game... Building a convincing world from scratch, lore, unique characters, and about everything else you can think of.

I've done some extensive debugging and beat the original game over 10 times. The problem is, I can't get enough off of it. I don't know if I've created a masterpiece, or if I'm simply obsessed with my own creation. I mean, I enjoy my time playing it so much that I've already rolled out some Day-1 content for the game.

One thing I can't wait for is the feedback from buyers who bought it. Their feedback is crucial in order to tweak the game any further. Until them, I'm patiently waiting to finally release the game. One thing that impresses me about my fanbase is their support. This morning I sent a copy of the latest article to my dtrpg subscribers, and some of the feedback I'm already receiving makes me very optimistic.

It sucks having to postpone Early Access from Nov. 6th to Q1 2021 but it's for a greater good. I seriously hope this game helps set new standards to the indie market. If one day I run crowdfunding for a new project it won't be cheap, but the ideas I have for future projects sure are ambitious.

Thank for your continued support!
