I'm a teenager from Sweden. I've got the games Dawn of War, Dawn of War: Dark Crusade, Dawn of war: Soulstorm, HL2, FarCry, Team Fortress 2, TMUF, and some others. I usually play alot of computer, so I shouldn´t take long for me to answer a question.

Mr_MAO @ Christmas Release Update

From the second Youtube clip: "My FPS was killed due to the amount of actors on screen, but we can fix that with low poly horse skeletons." With that said, I assume you are or at least will be using lowpoly actors as well. Are you going to use the model swap system for better quality on nearby actors, or will these NPCs always be lowpoly?

I also want to say: this looks absolutely great! I'm very impressed by the third and fourth clip, it's like one of my dreams come true; Rome - Total war-battles in first person!

Mr_MAO @ Pre-Orders! Trailer!

I can only think of this video when I see this game's title...: Youtube.com

However, it looks awesome. I'm definitely getting this game.

Mr_MAO @ How do you set your resolution for PC gaming?

And how serious do you think the 44 people who voted that actually were?

Mr_MAO @ How do you set your resolution for PC gaming?

Always fullscreen for me... 1680x1050 in mono, though my GTX 260 can't always handle that resolution when playing with 3D Vision (stereo), so I often go a step down to 1280x800 for a totally lag free experience :)

Mr_MAO @ How much do you spend on games yearly?

When you're playing an MMORPG that costs around 15€/month(in this case Eve-online), you are nearly forced to choose 200$, if you don't make a profit from them xD. I don't buy new games often though. For example, last game i bought was Audiosurf on Steam for 2,50€ at the X-mas weekend, and before that... I think I didn't buy many other games that year.

A couple of years ago, I could spend all my money on games, now I spend them at computer components instead... It's much more worth it (if you're an enthusiast that is ^^).

If you want the latest NLM for DC, yes. Don't think any version of my mod supports any other patch than the latest for both DC and SS.

Mr_MAO @ No Limit Mod

You need to download the old version: Moddb.com . I'm sorry that I haven't updated the version for DC, it isn't really as nice as the SS ver, who I have put down a little more time on. But it is, of course, still very playable.

Are there many custom mappers for this? I'm doing a cave-map (a serie, or co-op as you call it) myself, but I haven't seen any other custom maps for this mod yet...

Sorry for doublepost, but this mod really rocks now! Since you can create your own maps now too, it dosn't matter it wasn't so very many maps to start with. 10/10

I tried the version 1.2 of Dreamball when it was released, but it was a couple of things that weren't really good wit hthat one. The camera for example, and that it was so short. This one seems much better. I'll rerate this mod when I have tried this version out.

Mr_MAO @ Modular Combat v1.72

Well, now I've tested it and I must say I was impressed of the work put onto it, but I didn't really enjoy... A little bit too repetitively for my taste, and I didn't get anything at first. A tutorial map should be perfect (or now I didn't check if there was any, but I guess there isn't..?) for us newbies, so we, at first, get what Modular Combat is, and then understand how to play.

Same thing with me. But it's maybe worth a second try...

Mr_MAO @ No Limit Mod

No... I guess not. You can make how many Banners as you want, but you don't need to fill the whole base with them. If now Nob Leaders take Waaagh, they only take about 2 Waaagh-points each, and to fill the whole limit up, you need to have 50 squads of Nobs...

Mr_MAO @ No Limit Mod

Well, now you have a very, very, very small update to NLMSS 1.1.1. It takes the few last bugs away, I hope. Are you sure the Nob Leaders cost Waaagh!, because they dosn't for me.

Good karma+1 vote
Mr_MAO
Mr_MAO @ No Limit Mod

Okay, well, I think it shouldn't be too hard. So the Scouts, the Nob Leaders and it was Terminators too I think. Anything more? Want to make a final release so this is mod is finaly finished.

Thanks. It's just that I've note been working on NLM on several months right now: DOW2 is out. But if you want, I could probably make a quick patch solving those problems.

Mr_MAO @ 00

This look very wierd, but on the same time awesome! But you have to make good puzzles if this should be fun though. Use the idea that you cannot see all things, you cannot for example see a black object on a black background, so you need to get into another view to see it, and such.

Ehm, then I don't know. Do you both have the latest patch? (of Soulstorm I mean, not NLM)

You should just extract it to the Soulstorm-folder, the files put themselves in place.

In situations like this I hate that I bought Oblivion to PS3...

Anyway, I was just wondering, how does the NPC-leveling work in this mod? Does it follow the server-computer, or do you have a made a system for making an avarage level of monsters and such?

Mr_MAO
Mr_MAO @ No Limit Mod

Ehm... ok. Take it easy. It's very simple. If you have Dawn of War: Soulstorm, download "No Limit Mod: Soulstorm 1.1.1". Extract the .zip-file to your "Soulstorm-folder". Finished! :D

Mr_MAO @ No Limit Mod

They have Waaagh, yes. But not as a population resource, but as a teir-resource. You need for example full Waaagh to make a Squiggoth, but building one dosn't cost any Waaagh at all. Or have something changed in the patch to Soulstorm?

Good karma+1 vote
Mr_MAO
Mr_MAO @ No Limit Mod

To answer the question... Yes, the mod can be played with other versions of Dawn of War: Soulstorm than just 1.0. Btw, don't open DoW: SS via Steam when you shall select the mod in the Game Manager. It only closes the game down then. How it is for these who have bought it via steam, I don't know.
