The weapon to surpass Mental Gear.

I have had the pleasure of being a part of RedRes small community during the work on 2.2 and after its release. As opposed to Mental Omega that lost the YR vibe in exchange for being something entirely new (which is not inherently a bad thing), you can really feel the gameplay and mood of the original, several times amplified. It's really well-thought, polished, balanced and well memed as well. While the mod revolves around PvP and PvE, there's an "enhanced" RA2 solo campaign and the recent teases suggest that Red-Resurrection might get its own missions.

Regardless of the current PvP balance or development, this mod will always deserve a solid 10/10. There's so much new (both original and public) content and dedication for a project that is only a modification, after all. Everyone can find a faction and units that appeal to them the most and the enormous campaign provides tens, if not more than a hundred hours of gameplay. I've been following Mental Omega ever since 3.0 days and for me its success is a role model when it comes to projects.
