Hey so I did the valyrian steel mission but all three weapons you can forge can't thrust even though they have thrust damage values, how do I fix?
Honey, no. D and D killed Jon Snow, along with everyone else.
Gotta admit I didn't think Warband was capable of the red wedding, all the characters dying and power shifts. Kudos if you've managed it though!
Cheers all. Harrenhal fell on like day 40 so that one's locked off but will try and get to the others in time.
Been going round looking for some of the newer quests (haven't played since 4.0) and I still can't track down the Lights, the Disappeared, and where is Lord Beric. Even if people are unwilling to tell me exactly where to find them for some reason, could someone at least point me in the right direction i.e. which faction the settlement is part of please?
That seems very unlikely tho, they weren't in Native so they're not hard-coded in or anything. There has to be some lines of data somewhere I can scrap.
Great, how do I disable it for this mod? I feel like skill penalties for encumbrance is enough.
Curious, how did you do the heavy armour penalties?
This has probably already been answered, but will things like the formations mod? Feels a bit silly that a modern army's only option going into a battle is "charge the enemy!"
Would it be possible now that this mod is being worked on again to introduce British Army style uniforms?
I like that it adds a bit to realism having all decent armour reduce skills but i'm not looking for realism, how can I disable that please?
If you miss the gold cloaks then there's some simple software you can use to put them back in, like TroopEditor. Be sure to save the mod files somewhere else before playing around with it but one of the things it lets you do is alter the upgrade paths for all units. Whenever I take over Kings Landing I quit the game, make all levys upgrade into gold cloaks of some kind in TroopEditor then start the game in cheat mode, quickly zoom round the map recruiting and upgrading them all then quit the game, put the upgrade paths back how they should be and start the game again without cheats. Viola! Now King's Landing has Gold Cloaks.
Any update on the next release at all? Also, would it be possible to make the Grey Knights optional? I feel like the wasteland isn't quite important enough to merit their continual presence as patrols. And on the subject of options I feel like having the option to make the Brotherhood of Steel Tau rather than space marines would be amazing
Would it be possible to increase the length of the Valyrian Steel Arming Sword? I know that to get it you ask for a "short" arming sword but there isn't a longer one, all the one handed valyrian swords are exactly the same length.
I wouldn't mind but it just looks so short and stubby, like it should be longer but it isn't.
Forgive me if i'm being facetious because I do sympathise, but i get the feeling these aren't legit questions people have asked you
I like to replace the main menu music with this
Youtube.com
It was used in much earlier versions of the mod and i think it works better to set up the tone before you start playing.
Best way to do that is go into the files for both the ACOK folder and Vanilla folder, look for the music folder in each, then copy/paste and replace the vanilla music into the ACOK music folder. If the ACOK music has different names from vanilla, you'll need to re-name it because what the game does is at certain points it'll play the track in the music folder called "battle end" or "menu music" dependant on situation.
I've tried following the instructions but every time i try to activate the mod it crashes (i assume this is a mini-dump) i've only enable one each of the 0-1 folders and i've enabled them in order. Where am i going wrong? Do i need another mod to make this one work?
Strange bug to do with saves. Reopened the game after saving it and everything in my inventory was missing, along with all my equipment. On further inspection it seems my character' stats had all been reset to zero, and his attributes were all 4. What's more, on the character appearance screen every slider had been moved to the far left side.
It seems this has also happened to every other character in the game, from lords and companions right down to the merchants and village elders.
Any suggestions about how this could happen?
Personally I don't mind, so long as the mod shifts back to a 20's, early 30's feel. It's become very WW2 centric which isn't a bad thing, but i prefer the earlier stuff.
I love the idea of a world where Swadia is rising out of poverty on the back of a new, highly suspect ideology, the Rhodok Republic is practically run by mobs, mafias and street gangs. All the while in the north and east, the Vaegirs and Kergits have entered what seemed to be a golden age of equality, but instead they are in fact being slowly and subtly conquered from within by selfish men with too much power.
That's what i think Red Wars should be. Maybe it's just me but i think it's a brilliant idea.
*Soviet authorised statement of reasonable excitement*
Minor note but i massively prefer the name "Yeomen Archers". If these troops are for the England faction, then including terms like Yeoman will really help with the atmosphere.
Download troopeditor. Use it to make levies upgrade into gold cloaks/casterly rock man at arms recruit a load of levies and upgrade them into desired unit. then immediately use troopeditor to stop them upgrading into that unit because gold cloaks and such will start appearing in other faction's armies. There'll be the odd gold cloak in a few armies for a while but you can just assume they're deserters or something
Well in that case why isn't it marked as a bugged item or removed from the game completely?
In fact the only way I can think of to **** yourself up with cheats is to raise your level so high that enemy parties suddenly number in the thousands so they match your high experience, or if you were to enable "see all parties" and that would probably be more of an inconvenience than anything else.
I bought it from the cheat menu. Orphan maker is the most aesthetically pleasing weapon in the game so I bought it from the cheat menu as if it was another merchant. Just like once I found a kingdom i'll buy myself a crown and seven sets of kingsguard armour for my companions, as neither are obtainable in game anymore.
