I don't think they're talking about the Hazard Course, but the mod Hazardous-Course 2, and saying that it would be too violent to be funny if it's realistic.

Incidentally, there is a Black Mesa: Hazard Course mod.

Don't worry the eyes were a placeholder for previewing purposes, and the final version will match the concept.

No. But we're trying to make a version that can, for a future release.

The down votes are probably because this question has already been answered in the news release.

Something like this? Fav.me

I've been meaning to make that for a long time, but if I did I think I'd need some help from the Crowbar Collective to compile it.

Sorry for such a very late reply, but I didn't receive any notification from ModDB that you'd posted your comment.

What you do is extract the files to the appropriate locations, and then run the map from the console.

There will be a Steam Workshop version in the future, once it is compatible with the Steam version of Black Mesa.
For now, we've made the Mod version available.

If you mean help with the Hazard Course mod, then what we really need is a choreographer. Sorry. All of our visual assets, like maps and textures, are complete.

If you meant help with Xen, I'm afraid the Xen shot isn't from the mod.

Thank you.

My project will be about the Black Mesa Incident, shown from several characters' perspective.

This video was a test for Gordon's contribution to my inciting incident, the Resonance Cascade.

I wanted to see how costly the render would be, before I worked on the scene proper (approximately forty seconds to render one frame, without motion blur).

I agree completely on the main textures, and I think that should be fixed in the next version.

Actually, my work on Xen is only tangential to my work on the Hazard Course, since there is no reason for it to appear in the course.

But I know how long the mod has been in development, and I wanted to share something else I have also been working on.

That's very unfortunate.

If it helps, I also have the same video on my YouTube channel here: Youtu.be

It is however much brighter on there, because of YouTube filters.

Thank you.

I still have the Xen model design sheets from my time on the Black Mesa team, so I have some idea of what assets they might add. (Don't ask me for these, because I will not be giving them out)

But even if that were not the case, I want to see what I can accomplish on my own, and so I will not be using any Black Mesa assets. At most, I'll use cleaned up sounds from the original Half-Life, simply because I have no expertise in sound mixing.

This is also not the final version of my Xen, because I have been working on a redesign that should put this test render to shame.

I know this has nothing to do with the Hazard Course, but I uploaded a short fifteen second video yesterday, from a personal project of mine, and I was wondering what you guys think of it? Moddb.com

Well, this isn't really a Hazard Course update, but since the SDK is nonfunctional at the moment and I'm bored, I decided to upload the portal I designed for Black Mesa way back when I was on the Development Team. It's in my downloads if anyone wants to play around with it.

The Hazard Course has only friendly human NPCs like the guard and scientist.

During my time on the Black Mesa team, I never became personally offended by my work being called cartoony. Instead I held enough humility to internalize this feedback, and the result was always better because of that. I would have hoped that even someone as experienced and talented as you, would feel the same.

We've gained 21 plus however many we may have lost.

But it's not about that, so long as more people know about The Freeman Chronicles. They deserve all of the positive attention more than we do.
