Hi! My name is Martin. I come from a small mountain town in the Czech Republic. As I started playing with computer some time ago it is of course my hobby. As well as books, cottage, tourism, history and military.
At last I managed to complete the other remaining LODs for the Renault tank. Originally I wanted to make just 3 LODs but during the development I found out that I really need 4 of them. I also have to mention that the initial decimation calculation of medium and low detail was done by Marcomix. All subsequent work was done by me. The model was created from a World of Tanks port.
@ Martin & Marcomix, Well done guys. This looks really good. I can't wait to add this baby to the French campaign in HCTM 2.0. Bravo!
thanks Slikk! now i gotta rig it and run it through my tanktest map to hunt down potential errors. then it shall be ready to go...
btw the unique suspension will be a hell to rig properly with cod2 mechanics.
Why was 4 LODs needed? Too many polygons?
Looks great!
thx! yes, the original port had too many starting polygons.
Martin, May I ask you Some question? I notice that in HTCM the poles use the Soviet T-26 light tank. I think it should be replaced in the later version by the Polish's 7TP, And if my memory serves me right, In the mission "The Battle of France" also institute you to destroy the French's Renault FT tank, Will both of them to be port from WoT into HCTM?
porting from WoT is very time consuming so the r35 will be my last WoT port.
Now that I think about it, T-26 and 7TP are basically the same tank with some different features...
I just read up Some information in Wikipedia, it says that The Polish government decided to buy this tank as an emergency measure. So HTCM Could use those to replace the T26.
