Best Mod Ever made for either M&B or M&B Warband. Truly makes M&B one of the most entertaining Kingdom Management games i have ever played.

Great Mod

A great mod.

A great mod that is sure to offer endless hours of entertainment. Can't wait to see the finished product. Also if you enjoy this mod i highly recommend you try the original SOD for Mount and Blade(not Warband). Both SOD's are very entertaining but i find myself returning to the original SOD more often then it's newer Warband Test Combatant edition.

But as it stands i give SOD Test Combatant a 8/10. Great potential to be one of the greatest mods ever. After all it's little brother is HANDS DOWN the GREATEST mod EVER made for Mount and Blade.

I swear people on this site rate/review mods before they play it. Why? You trying to give modders a warm fuzzy fealing?

This mod is just garbage

I see many people making the statement "Brytenwalda is the best M&B mod ever". And honestly it is hard to find fault in that statement.

This mod offers an experience that can be rivaled only by a select few mods. The experience however is one of extreme hardship and pure brutality. Brytenwalda requires patience and more importantly persistence, early game is quite difficult as it will take a very long time to familiarize with this NEW game, because that is what Brytenwalda is, an entirely NEW game that requires a new play style with a steep learning curve. Brytenwalda is a mod for the hardcore gamer looking for a challenge that very few M&B mods can offer.

i would have scored this mod 10/10 if only it had a freelancer type option that would allow you to enlist as a simple soldier in a lords army. And possibly expand upon that feature by offering a career path to follow during peace times/while lord is stationed in settlement. A career like a Tax collector for the Lord or a city guard, blacksmith, hunter, court bard ect. With objectives/quests that have to be completed.

This mod has potential. But in it's current state it is barely worth playing.

Did i mention the map.. Using the Vanilla map could have been overlooked if any thought at all went in to the positioning/geography of each faction and their settlements. But it seems the creator(s) of the mod either did not care about proper geography of middle earth..or even worse has never even looked at a map of middle earth.
Some cities look excellent on the world map, but entering these cities is almost as much of a let down as the map itself.

The mod has a promising future all it needs is someone willing to make a proper map and then simply smooth out the rough edges. It's a shame really, currently this mod is not worth your time to download, but it could also very easily become the best Mod for War Band with the proper work. And possibly even be the best LOTR mod created for any game. TATW could use some competition..lol
