It's been a long time since i installed the game but i seem to remember theres a bug with the game installer, easy fixed though just change the default file path to a custom one when you install the game.

Mind you i'm talking about installing the game from the CD and not some BS steam gubbins.

Then just install the mod as usual after clean intall with custom file path - hope this helps.

Dude just set it as house rules, so first person to build SW forfeits the game and other person wins. Discuss this in lobby before hosting and all is good. If they dont follow house rules then they arent worth playing with

i dont know about windows 10 but... you know when you put the disk in and a little window pops up before you run the game? i think its the second button you want to click, "Browse" if i remember correctly - just find the mod path and run from this window (I created a custom shortcut to run the mod directly so i dont use this method anymore, i'm sure you could do the same too if you want to minimise the number of clicks you do)

Honestly i dont think it's really necessary to remodel the few things from C&C3; that actually looked GOOD. Especially when there's still so much that needs fixing (visceroids etc.).

On the subject of remodeling i do feel that the NOD Saboteur needs some attention, maybe the NOD shadow too (goldfish bowls never looked right).

I'm also still in favour of a remodeled Vertigo Bomber as we discussed so many years ago. Switchable Bomb types would still be good for increased utility i think - from the the traditional "Bunker Buster" to Hallucinogenic Gas bomb (as Confessor infantry grenades) still sounds pretty sweet to me.

I realise that this was an error on your part but i'm still not impressed Freddie.

Is there any way you can remove the Article and just repost the map pack where it should have gone in the first place? Not sure if this is possible, i'm just asking because it's very in-your-face when the page first loads.

While i think the TS style NOD barracks is a very cool design, the default model we have is a kind of variation on the NOD barracks from C&C1; which is a nice reference.

go and be disappointed somewhere else then, this mod isnt dead you just need to learn to wait. Years between updates is not unusual.

I'm fine with GDI getting Mobile Sensor Array but personally i think Mobile Repair Vehicle should remain faction specific to NOD because GDI tanks are a lot more robust.

I dont like trolls but a modern remix of "Mechanical Man" would go great with TE, it was a cool track and goes well with NOD cyborgs.

It's not dead until Carnius declares it dead. He's usually never on time for updates so i'm not worried you should not be either. Think what you like but dont say "WE should consider this mod dead". A few years between updates is normal (for this mod). Have a little faith Brother, Peace through Power

@ GC_dzbanek & mutant_killer - I'd love to put some of these comments in a thread, but it seems like i'm literally the only person that still thinks using the TE threads is a good idea.

If i've got some time i might make one but i'm probably the only person that checks the threads these days. Just think it might be easier for Carnius to see helpful feedback that way instead of it being buried in the comments.

It will be released when its done. I for one wouldnt want it to be released before Carnius is happy with the result - AFAIK its probably gonna be early next year, at least thats what i heard. I'm hoping Visceroids and other stuff will be fixed, but everything will get done in time - maybe he's just focusing on implementing the new faction though. I know i'm in the minority but i really dont mind waiting a few years between updates.

If you put the "Maps" folder in the following path they should show up (assuming you using windows 7)

<user name> --> AppData --> Roaming --> Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars --> (this is where Maps folder should go)

hope this helps.

If CABAL is to feature at all it would probably be as support faction (like the Forgotten used to be) where any other faction can use CABAL style units. This would make sense as CABAL's core was shut down - But maybe some of the things he created are still usable. It would be interesting to have full robot units instead of a NOD style cyborg to differentiate the units

no i mean it starts with both auto-cannon and missiles, but missiles cant be upgraded (because they are stolen NOD tech). instead auto-cannon would be the upgradable tech.

Carnius envisioned them more as land based faction but i think he's said theres gonna be (possibly) 3 air units for Forgotten

The karma thing is why i always prefered to use threads rather than comments, problem is i seem to be the only person that thinks that way. Think it makes it easier to find stuff too but seems ppl just use comments these days.

Not saying that 99% of Forgotten upgrades should be tiberium, just saying that it makes sense for them to use some tiberium missiles given their established canon.

Perhaps the Hind should use Tib missiles but only be able to upgrade the auto-cannon as the missiles are "acquired" tech. (the alternative of course is to have an upgrade that is massively divergent from the NOD one, showing that they can do different things with the same tech)

I agree the name of an Orca-Harpy combo unit is unimportant, was merely pointing out that its been mentioned before - for the benefit of those that may not have been on the boards as long as you and me. I think it would be an interesting light air unit for AP.

a fusion of orca and harpy is an interesting concept, i posted this idea several years ago in the following thread under the name "viper"

while its true that tiberium Missiles are a "Noddish" technology i think it still fits the forgotten well because it makes sense that they are using some looted and salvaged tech (from whoever).

I think its a much more fitting choice than the floater as a transport, having said this maybe something like weaponless garrisonable chinnook that enables units to fire from within would be an even better solution.
I think The Harpy will always belong with nod but chinook could fill the void for early airborne AP if it was cheap enough to build.

tbh i'm not sure forgotten needs something to fulfill a "harpy-like" role, we'll have to see how they play as a mainly ground based faction when 2.0 comes out.

i think this would be cool as an air unit for forgotten, tame floaters could be a possibility just as much as tamed tib fiends.

I do think garrison ability would be better suited to a TS style chinook for the Forgotten and leave the floaters as a pure air unit, without the rooms on its ***.

floaters are cool! Maybe i'd prefer a TS style Chinook for garrisoning troops in though, might be better than having a building on the Floaters ***. Maybe Floater would be better just as air type unit (without the rooms/garrison)

if not then maybe have chinooks as call for transport support power

Floaters look very cool but i was hoping for TS style Chinook maybe as call for transport thing. Parhaps the floater model looks a little big?

realise i'm kinda late for the Party, but this tech looks kinda cool. For once i find myself agreeing with FortressMaximus, Tib-Plasma is NOD Tech.

I'm guessing its some kind of heavily modded railgun or something - crystalising flesh seems like a cool idea, i'm assuming its firing super-cooled liquid tiberium or something; which rapidly crystalises on contact with the target, reacting to their body temp. (we know that tiberium growth is restricted in high and low temperature environment so even a small amount of heat could kick-start rapid crystalisation under these conditions)

Seems like they shatter easily but it might be interesting to make the Crystalised Husk harvestable and/or explosive.
