Hi,

This errors seems to be related to an update in the SP mode. You are in "1.02a" version, me I have "1.03" show in the console.

I think you need to update your game.
Pcgamingwiki.com

If the problem persists, maybe it is related to an OpenGL error or Intel driver problem.
Steamcommunity.com

If you still encounter problems, you still have to try an OpenJO build...

May the Force be with you.

Hi,

Thanks for you feedback :)

You have just to go in the Commands menu, and simply bind a key to the Light Amplification Goggles field.

But if all is fine, maybe you're just out of battery ^^

Good game.

Hi,

- You need to change your Windows zoom to 100% or better in your system settings.
- You need to change the compatibility setting for DPI scaling to "Application" in the .exe properties of the game.

Good game.

If you get a gray square on the left part of the screen, I really emphasize the fact that you are using other Mods that affect the same files than Expanded Menu.

Open your "../GameData/Base" folder and check that there are only the "AssetsX.pk3", "zExpanded_Menu.pk3", "Expanded_Menu_SP.cfg", "Expanded_Menu_MP.cfg" files, you can also clear other configuration files (.cfg) and use the "Best Settings" button in the Setup menu to configure your game and start on a clean base (Think to select your resolution too).

I need more informations to help you.

Hi,

You probably have a load order problem with other Mods which conflict with the font and some menu items.

Rename the Mod by adding a "Z" to the beginning of the name, make sure "zExpanded_Menu.pk3" is the last one read alphabetically by the game.

May the Force be with you.

Hi,

Before spawn many NPCs, switch between all your weapons to precache them in the memory, take a Force Gem from the cheats menu to precache it for Shadowtroopers too.

If you want to play with many NPCs, use an OpenJO.exe build could help.

May the Force be with you.

Hi,

You need to know and set your resolution in the video setup menu of the game.

You need to change your Windows zoom to 100% or better in your system settings or you need to change the compatibility setting for DPI scaling to "Application" in the .exe properties.

Hi,

If you are using a server, the menu shoudn't modify the cvar related to the server. But it seems to me that the setting is local and it should still work if the command is enabled for you, but maybe its only in solo vs bots.

Have you an AutoExec.cfg file which could modify the dismemberment setting ?
When you are in game, and you switch the dismemberment field in the menu, this doesn't works ?

Regarding GameRanger, you should forget it and use JK2MV for begin, and place the Expanded Menu '.pk3' inside the 'Base' folder from JK2MV.

May the Force be with you.

Hi,

You can always open the '.pk3' archive and delete the 'Ergoec' fonts, but that will certainly destructure the letters...

Hi,

You just have to place the files in the 'Base' folder in the game's installation directory.

If you want to start on a clean install, you should follow the quick steps in the 'ReadMe' file.

Hi,

Unfortunately not in the current NPC Spawner menu page. It already reaches the limit of 128 items in the menu.

But you can always bind yourself a key to spawn it quickly.

bind [KEY] "npc spawn vader npc_vader"
bind [KEY] "control npc_vader"
Etc...

(In the console or in the Expanded_Menu.cfg file)

Good game. :)

Hi Locutus,

Thank you for your feedback. ;)

Unfortunately, the Force Powers you cite are not present in the source code of the SP mode. :/

Wishing maximum compatibility between operating systems using only modding by '.pk3' archives, and avoiding touching the source code, I can't include your request in this Mod... (It's not possible without rebuild an '.exe' file).

Have fun anyway.

Hi Armitom,

Thanks for your return about this Mod, I'm glad it is doing its job. :)

I really intend to make a Jedi Academy version one day, but it's not for now, unfortunately I also have my life to do alongside this Mod, and I'm only leaning on it in spaced phases. So it will take a little time anyway... ^^'

Hi,

It needs a little more detail about your settings or configuration.

Do you have an error message in the console during the crash ?

For example, it could be due to the fact that you play in windowed mode with an unconventional resolution (Instead of 480p, 720p, 1080p, etc).

May the Force be with you.

Nemus, Anyway some changes are coming that should reassure you.
But you need to say what is the problem with the Shadowtrooper, if there is one. They are supposed to be normal, except for the fact that they could have more amount of Force than intended (Like the player), and this, it will be fixed.

Adobekc, The next plans are the improvement of the base shader files. In order to improve the levels of the game which are quite empty and polygonal by adding sprites such as grass, roots, stones, fog, wind effects on trees, plants, etc... :)
(I can't put Screenshot here, but you can get an idea with Jedi Academy which use more the sprites on the textures in the levels of the game.)

Good game guys, and thank you again for your feedback. ;)

Everything is fine guys, there are no insults to me or anyone.
We can exchange without problem. (And with respect, no overflows please.. ^^')

I was also waiting for some feedback on small adjustments that could distort the game in the eyes of purists of the base game.

But on the other hand, some elements really require changes to be closer to a more modern gameplay in terms of weapons for example. The speed of the projectiles is very slow, and we can only modify this one in the source code, then there is not much solution to find a compromise, than to increase the rate of fire. The Blaster Bryar is the weapon that only the player has, modifying it does not change the base game too much during gunfights and remains a player's choice to use it or not.

In any case, I will do an update here soon (For the selectable music in the MP menu, and some little bugs to fix), and adjust certain points which were not supposed to be there (For example the amount of Force that I had increased to 150 instead of 100 for various tests).

Anyway thanks guys for your feedback, we will end up finding a proper balance to this game. ;)

Cheers.

Hi Nemus and thanks for your feedback ;)

I need to know more about your claims about Stormtroopers possessing Force powers.
This is not normal, and seems strange to me that this Mod is the cause...
Under what circumstances did this appear ?
Do you have any mods other than this and FX ?

As you say, I changed the colors of the lightsabers of the Jedi NPCs (To match their roles).
Having heard your feedback, I'm going to put their base colors (and voices) back in the campaign, but keep those current colors for the Jedi NPCs in the Spawner Menu for the stated reason.

Regarding the weapon adjustments that were indeed too large, I will restore them to their default values to be as close as possible to the original game too.

But concerning the Bryar Blaster, I will find a better balance as well as possible in order to satisfy some requests. (Only one Mod modifying weapon data is possible at a time, so I try to balance them in this Mod as well as possible).

Regarding the HUDs, it's not as simple as on Jedi Academy... I'm trying to find a solution to be able to swap with different HUDs without bugs (When I'm on the Mod ^^'), but it's not perfect yet...
(While I find a solution I try to find a compromise between base game and harmony with the menus.) I'm sorry this doesn't appeal to everyone... :/

I will bring some corrections to the Mod soon.

Good Game. :)

PS: Concerning this Mod for Jedi Academy, it's in my projects but I have other personal projects before on Jedi Outcast which attracts me more than Jedi Academy. I will always prefer Jedi Outcast for example in terms of the precision of the one-handed lightsaber and the nostalgia that the game gives me.. ^^'
(And it's not a simple copy/paste, some things change, especially with the character strings for translations for example, or with the additional content compared to Jedi Outcast to add to the Mod.)
So, it won't be for now anyway... If you can wait just a little longer...

Hi,

Maybe its because you run the game in admin mode, launch it one time in normal mode. Go in the Setup Menu, enter your custom resolution, apply changes, then use the "Best Settings" button, and after you can set the game as you want. Finally quit the game cleanly to save the settings, and restart the game like you want.

May the Force be with you.

So I will increase the rate of fire of the rocket launcher.
(Because only one Mod at a time is possible concerning Weapons/Ammo/NPCs, so I'm going to make sure it's okay here.)

Regarding the "selected_music", I will also fix the problem, I had indeed not added the variable in the multiplayer mode... ^^'

Regarding the Expanded_Menu.cfg file, its only read in singleplayer to have like an AutoExec.cfg with differents settings than the multiplayer.

If you want a common setting between SP and MP, you can use the AutoExec.cfg file and add inside the fields you want to change.

So, to switch to the console music in both game modes, you just need to add the following field in the AutoExec.cfg :

seta selected_music "music music/bespin_streets/bespina_explore.mp3"

("selected_music" is also the default music that will play if you press the play button without having selected any music before.)

Regarding the weapons and ammo adjustments, I followed the request of some players about the difficulty of the gunfights. (But only in singleplayer)

I tried to balance it a little more without distorting the game too much.
(I chose to increase the Bryar Blaster's fire rate because if I change the value of the other imperial blasters, you will pass a bad moment when you are going to have several in front of you... And many effects will be called in same time, not good for the base engine when you got some greedy cosmetic Mods...)

Concerning the rocket launcher, I think it was to balance the game cause I added some ammo to the Rocket Launcher too.
(So for example, more ammo = less fire rate, and more easily for the engine to show all greedy effects when modded.)
But I will fix it.

Thank you for your encouraging feedback :)

Hi,

As you say, "Lightsaber Realism" increases lightsaber damage and allows for more dismemberment.

Deactivating it allows you to be close to the original gameplay, you will then have less dismemberment, but it remains activated and possible on a fatal hit.
(For the German version, use the quick button in the Cheat Menu 1 to allow dismemberment in a new level)

Be sure to activate the dismemberment option on "full body" and on "excessive" probability.

Good game.
