Why yes :-) You seem a tad confused so I will explain to you that fictional characters are not real and are an extension of what these people we often call 'writers' want them to be and say. And given that both scifi and fantasy have a long tradition of reflecting on socio-political issues, I indeed have no problem that Baldurs Gate SoD continues this long and proud tradition.
"Oh, that's right, you types think everything a character says or does reflects the views of the developers and everyone who plays the game anyways."
Oh not at all, however we normal ordinary people have learned at a young age to not throw a tantrum just because a character says or does something that is not 100% according to our own views. But simply to write fair and balanced criticism. Only those who are thin of skin go out of their way to review bomb and actually censor that which they do not like. ;-)

Oh you poor dear, I hope that eventually you will recover from having to be confronted by a character who states that she is trans and by someone who makes fun of you
