cont...
He engaged it with his lightsabers but was eventually beaten back and knocked to the floor by the beast. The fear of death and the extinction of his race overwhelmed Lok, but then he heard something else. DI had caught up with Lok and, seeing his master un danger, engaged the beast, taking it down with a combination of his rotary cannon and shock staff. It was then that Lok realised that DI was the only person he could trust in an empire of betrayal, and it became his only friend. Together they would take down the toughest missions that the galaxy had to offer.

Description

In one of his less thrilling missions Lok was sent to an abandoned imperial research facility that belonged to an old sith empire that had long since been defeated, one that had followed the rule of two. Aside from a couple of mynocks, whom he shocked for amusement, there was no other organic life present in the facility. His objective was to discover any plans for weaponry or other ordnance that could be utilised by the sith order. He found plans for a type of automated craft called a shadow droid. He also found other plans that detailed outdated weaponry but another caught his eye, plans for a droid known as the dark inquisitorium trooper. He decided to keep this plan for himself whilst delivering the shadow droid plans to Korinth, and getting suitably rewarded for it. He decided to act on his discovery and blackmailed one of the empire’s top engineers to build the droid for him. Once it was finished the engineer was killed and it was made to look like an accident.

Lok named the droid DI-1337 and used to him to great effect during his missions. DI made use of a heavy rotary cannon that could switch between ion and laser rounds as well as a shock staff and laser pistol. Lok had also learned a thing or two about droid engineering during his times as a sith acolyte. Thus, he was able to create and install a custom personality module into DI, making him trash talk enemies and even Lok often, calling him “little sith” more often than “master”. He was also programmed to be absolutely loyal to Lok and answered only to him.

After a certain event Lok developed a strange bond with DI. During a mission to Korriban where there reports of archaeological teams being found mauled and in pieces. He went with DI to investigate and moved on ahead due to his smaller size and greater agility. Venturing into a tomb he found the culprit, a terentatek. He engaged the beast, but found most of his skills were ineffective against it due to its ability to resist the force.
