Looks absolutely stunning.

I've noticed almost every other character has a descriptive title that sort of gives us a clue to their job or role in society (suburban mom, Korean shopkeeper, even teen boy) but he's just 'black man'. Don't take this the wrong way and I'm not accusing you of anything, it's just an observation I find interesting.

I love the rebels and the part they play in HL2, so much so that I searched specifically in the hope of finding a mod like yours. I'll definitely be keeping my eyes on this.

I definitely agree that teamwork should be encouraged!

I guess it would take away the hiding element, my idea for the miniguns is maybe the robot has to swivel it's upper body to change where it aims, like a tank turret. So if it sees a survivor at the edge of the screen it won't immediately be able to aim at the survivor, but has to swivel it's upper body to face in that direction, leaving the survivor more chance to escape... and if he's fast enough, be chased by minigun bullets!

Just ideas :P

Sounds like a great idea, will the robot have the ability to see humans through walls with something like a heat sensor? Because running from minigun fire punching holes in the walls next to you would be awesome.

Nice idea, just work a bit more on that Russian sprite you have, the uniform is still noticeably from Wolf3D.
