Ahoy! I'm the developer of @[Hyperventila: The Game](games:hyperventila:71081), a space RPG set in my Hyperventila universe. I also keep an eye on the Humour Satire Parody group, I follow the modding community and watch game productions that have peaked my interest. As some might remember, in my bio-description, before I became Admiral, it used to say "Lord Skeybar captain of the Athena". I think this was quite a long time ago because I later changed it to "Captain of the Aloadae II, a Sirius class starship". I made the Athena in 3d a few months ago, I never liked the 3d model so I think that's why I changed it.
Anyway, I'm thinking about remaking it, it has been a very long time since I made a spaceship, and here is it's logo.
Did you make this in the Gimp? or do you use Photoshop now? If you still use the Gimp, I would like to know how you made the shiny effect.

Well in the Gimp (English version) there is a menu called "Filters" in that menu there is a sub menu called "Alpha to Logo". There are loads of cool effects there that you can use. This one is called Cool Metal, I edited the image a bit after that but you can get some really nice effects just by using the logo plugin.
I'll make a tutorial and post it on the Gimpers group.
