Trying to work out what versions we should support for Desura.
You can still download the old version of Air which works fine.
Should never need root to run Desura. Sounds like you are trying to run it from a folder with out write permissions for a normal user
Was mentioned in the post that settings/cache would be reset. Just double click the game and it will reinstall it (make sure you select validate local files)
just goto settings and type the full path to it in the first box (do "which optirun" in console to find the full path)
No, this way the developers upload there build (instead of us monkey patching it) and we can add libraries on the profile (or the devs even can).
we used to use gecko but its a pain to embed. Chrome is the cleanest by far
The warning comes from chrome that un did a fix that uses the correct version.
As soon as chrome supports webm we will be switching across
The closed beta allows us (the developers) to fix issues with a small amount of people before releasing to the wider public which is easier to manage. Getting close to a full release soon
Both cef (chrome embedded) and our ui frame work use gtk so not likely at this stage.
Hey Guys, If you get an error while installing via desura "Unable to resolve wildcard %JAVA_PATH%" you will need to download java (from the java website [http://java.com/en/] or from us [https://tools.indiedb.com/2011/chromeinstall-6u25.exe]). This bug will be fixed in the next version of desura. Sorry for the hassle
