Quite disappointed with MOWAS 2. It's like being ripped off. Honestly, with the old MOWAS, I could nearly have the same shader, graphics improvement, and such by using "SweetFX" (the MOWAS mod Chronicles of WW2 1.11 has this feature which is downloadable along with the mod). To add injury to insult to MOWAS fans, DMS ported the old MOWAS missions onto MOWAS 2 to make it feel like there's a "LOT" of missions. But after a while playing the respective campaigns for each faction, the game becomes redundant in mission. It's like playing the first campaign over and over again albeit with a different faction and map. Would have been proper to have skirmish/stealth/assault/survival/etc. missions UNIQUE to each faction. For example, a German lone tank mission or a German recon mission, up against multiple Russian armor and infantry during the opening phase of Operation Barbarossa. Or how about some German missions in Sicily/Italy? How about some unique Paratrooper missions from each faction. And some unique US Ranger missions, etc. DMS developers should take a hint from the simple mission in the Chronicles of WW2 mod and other mods.
Another point are the models. Are the models in MOWAS 2 still the models from MOW? Yes they are! Oh come on DMS! Danngit! You guys should be better than that! You should have shown the other developers of MOWCH and MOWV that you could have done better with new models! All these graphics improvement in MOWAS 2 cannot be appreciated and enjoyed with such old, stale, models. Ooooh nice shaders, nice graphic improvement. But damn! Look at those models, the graphics improved but does not improve the models at all! It seems the graphics improvement was useless after all since the old models didn't need any graphics improvement in the first place. Besides I could get a sweet graphics effect in MOWAS and MOW with SweetFX and the thing is, it's free! I'll have to wait for the Total Krieg mod for new models. But I can manage the ones from MOWCH.
