Hey, I just finished the game. Thank you guys for your hard work and dedication. The game was well worth the wait. I enjoyed every second of it, and I can't wait to go back and play it again. You guys are the best!

The SDK is the tools supplied by Valve that allow you to modify the Original games content (Half-Life) and make the mod.
It would be a tremendous undertaking to port a mod over too a new engine, part of which would require a large number of assets such as maps and models to be redone. Plus Half-Life is a very cheap purchase off of steam (which you will need to play ESF in the first place) sometimes as low as $1.00 during certain promotions.
