I really enjoy any kind of war game. RTS or Shooter. I don't like wierd fantasy games though.

I installed the mod, but I am concerned it might be wrong. Many strings are not appearing as text, but rather as just gibberish. Like when I mouse over anything new it will just be a set of numbers in place of the description. Any fix? What did I do wrong?

Yes, they would. Also, NK would ultimately be defeated, suffering many casualties of its own and ending with a new regime, if any regime at all. War is a terrible, and terribly effective, thing.

So I've never played Mass Effect before, so I have no idea what an "Elcor research speed" is compared to a human one. Can someone tell me which is slowest and which is fastest, please? Thanks.

Playing as the Republic I can't seem to hyperspace between my holonet connected planets. I can use those of my allies if we have the HS pact, but none of my planets have the little note on their descriptions of being holonet connected, in spite of having holonets. Am I missing something here?

And? The way they designed the mod, you can only choose one super capital design in a game. The message it gives you is irrelevant if you understand this.

Haha I only get a couple errors with vanilla, obviously, while some other mods are only slightly more than that. I just wanted to try it, since the dev.exe gives a lot more options (that should be in the actual game but are not, for some reason). Oh well, good mod. Looking forward to the next release.

Have you guys tried using the dev.exe with this mod? Jesus... I know this isn't really an issue for the mod as a whole, but when I try it I have to skip through literally (like no ****, not a joke or exaggeration) tens of thousands of errors that pop up as the game loads. Then, when I go to single player, I have to skip through them all again. So, of course, I decided not to use the dev.exe upon that realization. Just wondering if you guys noticed this or if you even use the dev.exe.

Alright I reinstalled the mod from the beginning and it works now, for the most part. I will say it's a great mod. Outstanding job for a WIP mod. The only probs I experience now are occasional crashes after I have finished a game and I leave the summary screen. Rare, though. My textures are on high, but it still works.

No other mods. Gonna try a reinstall in a bit.

Textures were not ultra high, but they ran the first game on high.

PC is fine. It runs the mod fine and loads it within about 30 seconds (loading screen before main menu).

Got the mod to work for the first couple games, though it crashed after I exited the first game and then crashed most of the way through the second. Now it consistently (always) crashes after about 7 seconds of loading a skirmish. Even with the same setups that originally worked. It's a damned shame, the first game was pretty impressive.

Edit: Now I see a new version came out yesterday. Will give it a try.

Too many bugs in the newest version. Cool new units, but whenever I play as the Russians the game crashes whenever a vehicle gets damaged. Other nations mostly work fine, with weird random crashes after some amount of time. Russians consistently crash, though.

I think it's a play on words, what with "laziness is the mother of invention." So the ship is secretly named Laziness? That's what I took from it.

I'm sorry, you've probably heard this before, but does this mod work with the Steam version of the game? I don't know if there would be any problems with it or not. Thanks.

I noticed that the nukes on the Marathons seem a bit weak and ineffective. Is this intentional or was the AI just lightyears ahead of me in research? I targeted a group of the Cov. destroyers with two nukes from the Marathons and was hoping to see significant effects in terms of fire rate slow-down and all those other things the nuke says it does, ntm the damage, but they did almost nothing to the group, which was tighter than a can of sardines, and my ships got raped as usual. I am wondering because usually the nukes are effective in this mod, but I just now used them from the Marathons.

Yeah you are ignorant. If he makes it with the DLC installed because it has features otherwise not available, then that's how it goes.

I think it is ridiculous when rando people come in and say that the modders are ******** just because you are bothered.

Yea I have just turned them off. Wasn't trying to complain. Like you said, this mod is amazing. The battles are gloriously attrition-filled and it seems to run very well. It's kinda fun, once everything settles, to try and invade the flood planets (flood not active, but still present) and see how many of their host ships I can destroy, if any.

L1K3A8O5S
L1K3A8O5S @ Sins of the Prophets

This is a great start to the mod. Seriously, it's at least as good as many finished products are these days. My only complaint is that the flood are kinda BS. I realize that's a matter of preference probably, but still, they can cap a ship in an instant, not to mention a whole fleet. AND that fleet is completely intact and ready to roll for the flood. I have read the books and it doesn't seem legit to me.

I played my first game and accidently had the flood activated. I realized it at one point in the game and I was like "Oh, good, finally a big space battle." Yea, well that "big space battle" was over in about 5 seconds and the flood had my entire fleet. That was kinda lame to be honest.

Overall, though, this is a fantastic mod.

I have a couple of questions.

The first is kinda trivial, but I seem to remember some experimental naval units being in the mod, like a significant number of them. Have they been removed since?

Also, I have an issue where I am playing the game and everything seems to be fine and then everything stops. I can scroll around the map and all of the menus work, but the actual gameplay stops. All units, projectiles, and animations just go still, like it paused, but I never paused it. Not sure if this is the mod or the game, or maybe my computer.

Thanks.

I would say that if you manage to get in campaign and play battles for their duration then you are fine. Random crashes like that are probably not necessarily a fault of the mod (not all of them).

I don't think it's that any modders feel superior, it's just that they actually do a lot of work and have certain priorities, and then people that don't do any work come in and act like they know better...
