very well put, I find it odd that obscure projects seems to get funded almost always but yet somehow they dont prove to be that effective

Such as the Osprey Disaster, Stryker AFV, F-35 JSF funding issues, M1 Abrams series being stuck with gas turbine engine, Drones where they seem to kill more civilians then military targets etc.

Nice detailed tank but the swastika was never painted directly on Wehrmacht/SS vehicles except where they put the NS Germany flag on top of the motor or other places so that the Airplane pilot knows it is not a enemy tank.

And SS/Wehrmacht logos are never combined they are a separate unit which makes it look stupid unless they justify it that they are a combined ones instead.

The hatch placement is a bit odd - I like it how it has those handles, too bad they dint bothered adding to it overlapped wheels which it had originally and was common among German tanks.

hm according to WoT and some few other website it was produced only a few times and/or was never made beyond the blueprint but at the other hand you get the ELC as a reward which outperforms this tank and got a properly defined role.

but again that tank is so rare I hardly can search for it so I wouldn't know much about it either actually.

Yes the British made a different choice by having Light and Medium tanks with its role clearer defined, through at the end of the day it depends how you want to use the tank and its tactic/strategy so there is no a "shoe fits all size" on that one

the earlier tanks of the British and the French was actually a cavalry/infantry support tank and not really mainly used for recon/patrol mission, through they have medium/heavier tanks for other mission later on the war.

Thats why they have such "odd" stats and will play even more weirder on a tank only game such as WoT as you cannot play as a infantry supporter because there is no infantry

It could be just Spaced armor ie several armor added in with large gap between it, just because it looks like a large "brick" doesn't mean it is purely filled with armor in it.

Which they couldn't "afford" it doing it anyway because the majority of western tanks are like 60-70 tons heavy

Yes but still you would be in a (huge) disadvantage if you have to face a army which have more modern equipment, especially when the said nation din't bothered upgrading its tank properly

remember that modern tanks have a armor protection of up to 900-1000+ RHAe in front armor atleast iirc, RHAe protection can vary depending how the composite armor is made and there is also strength differences between HEAT and APFSDS

oh yeah and 1 more thing about Lasers,

they would be maybe highly used as a 2nd or 3rd weapon (depending on the vehicle type)
Laser are missing "tactical/ammo varieties" to use compared to cannons which can be loaded with such as: APFSDS, HE(I), HEAT, HESH, HE-Frag, Rockets*, Shotgun shells, Smoke, Illuminating shells etc...

so it means cannons are very flexible

T-55 isn't really a useful tank anymore and it can be highly
used as a support tank or modified to use other role instead

Using T-55 as a regular MBT is a nutty idea, upgrading it
makes it somewhat stronger but thats it.

+It is missing Composite Armor which is very important for today's
tank.

Afaik you would need to redesign the whole chassis anyway
for having composite armor on it and most of the countries is buying
those tanks from surplus stocks and I dont even know if some
countries is still producing them due to being outdated.

T-55 with Laser cannon would be made maybe only as a test bed
of some sort but never fully employed due to said weakness, if
they consider it using it as one that is.

The only advance I see that it is cheap and affordable for

There is some few difference between the Marine and Army variants with things like upgrade packages and handling of logistic, what makes it obvious are the set of smoke launchers the Army one uses 6 per side I think while the Marine one have 8 which also includes different designs.

Tiger tank was that blocky because it got firstly developed as Breaktrough Vehicle/Durchbruch Wagen which kinda looked like oversized Panzer III Chassis the idea/concept of it was developed around earlier 1930-40's era or so.

At that time the German engineers wasn't aware of how important the sloped armor concept was back then, most other nations wasn't either or where in prototype stage I think.

Afaik the APFSDS/Sabot round hardly bounces off on "small" sloped area, but on that angle yeah it `might` bounce off on front sides, it would also explain why most Tanks are extremely sloped on the front but hardly on the sides/rear

Hi, out of curiosity - is it possible to implant for all the units a force attack/ground attack mode as opposed to fight command?
Seeing as Earth 2150/2140 had them but yet for no reason it got removed on this game.

If its not possible than it's alright seeing as it might be hardcoded to the Engine.

Oh yeah, is it possible to add a option to remove heavy/super-sized space ship in the next future?
