Warsword Conquest

Mod review

Game breaking bugs and poor world map performance ruin an otherwise great mod.
People complaining about the start being hard just don't seem to understand that they should not be recruiting villagers. Trading has been made incredibly easy as some towns have specific type productions and over produce a certain item such as cheese or salt which can then be traded for upto 10x the value with another race.
After doing this for an hour or so you can afford to buy high tier units in the tavern to start the real journey.

Avoid water based travel until you have 30+ decent troops, naval combat is so buggy it should have been left out of the release completely, not to mention the pathing of the Raiders is rubbish so they spend most of the game stuck on the land borders.

Certain races have clearly been favored over others, Chaos for example have high quality skins where as Lizardmen need some love.

Ork and Vampire faction colours are such that you canot actually read the town names as they blend in with the dark background. Certain factions have on each of my playthroughs had a torrid time, that is IF they actually go to war which is another game breaking bug in which every faction will not declare war on anyone. Many scenes have props and spawns such that troops get stuck on a ladder for a siege or that they spawn within props like buildings.

Its how you would expect a mod to come out near the start of its life, not after years of development, the team while obviously talented can't even spare a little time for some basic fixes or can't agree on directions they should take, its all very odd or rather very clearly mismanaged.

There is fun to be had and if the issues get ironed out sometime in 2020 then it will be a great mod, until then you have to be a big Warhammer fan to enjoy this and to overlook/work past the issues
